Hacienda Plaza de Armas has rooms with carpeted floors, tasteful wood furnishings and flat-screen TVs. All private bathrooms offer free toiletries, marble fittings and baths. Best location in Puno. Clean, fine food, helpful stuff. What most impressed me is the fact that I have forgotten my cardholder in the hotel room. The same day from the hotel called me and arranged to send the cardholder to my new place in Arequipa. I would like to express gratitude to the honest stuff of the hotel! Thank you!

Bathroom very nice. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

The room is cozy and not too cold (for Peruvian standards in winter). The host was incredibly kind, he helped us by keeping our backpacks all day long and with recommendations. Taypikala Hotel Lago boasts recently refurbished Colonial style galleries and a spacious lobby with interior plants, polished parquet floors and elegant cream-coloured sofas. Had a really nice stay here. The staff were great. Not very busy when we were here. Good value. Great location.
