A 3,1 km dal Tempio d'Oro di Dambulla, il Dambulla Rock Arch è uno storico bed & breakfast dotato di un giardino tropicale con posti a sedere coperti e di servizi gratuiti quali la colazione e la... What a marvelous find! Utterly charming accommodation just off the main road, but open to farmland at the back and surrounded by a lovely garden. You would never guess you are in the centre of a busy town. The rooms are probably the best we stayed in during our trip (including much more expensive hotels). Lovely comfortable bed with mosquito net tent. There is a separate kitchen area with a small fridge, kettle and tea/coffee supplies and plates and cutlery. There is also a space with a luggage rack and place to hang clothes. The bathroom is large with premium fittings and hot water. There is a nice terrace with chairs out front and even a little yard at the back with a washing line. The breakfast area is so lovely, partially open with a fish pond. And the breakfast was superb. Beautifully home cooked Sri Lankan food, with European options too. The family are very sweet and helpful and arranged a tour to Sigiriya, followed by an elephant safari at Minneriya. Absolutely wonderful. No hesitation in recommending this lovely place.

I will carry this magical place in my memories for my whole life. Extremely stylish tea estate that seems suspended in time and space.. me and my girlfriend just couldn’t stop taking pictures with our camera all around the property! They have a breathtaking veranda where you can enjoy your meals, especially the dinner at sunsets.. a charming swimming pool, marvelous rooms and a private waterfall!! Amila, the manager is one of the nicest and most professional persons I have the privilege to met during my time in Sri Lanka took very good care of us and I recommend not to miss the tea plantation tour and tea tasting with Mr. Das, the historic memory of this beautiful place. What else to add? Two nights weren’t enough but that’s a good reason to go back!

For kids from Europe, eating only pizza/pasta is very good. Swimming pool is good
