Everything was just exceptional, from the moment we walked it we were blown away. The furniture, finishings and amenities were just exquisite, the breakfast was scrumptious, the staff and owners so warm and welcoming. Wow, what a place. The interior design is fantastic, and it backs onto a beautiful lake, where you can enjoy excellent food and drinks and watch the sun set in peace. Truly a special place and we wished we could have stayed far longer than our one night! There are great little boutique shops around also, and two delicious breakfast options accessible if you pay for breakfast.

At the tip of Leisure Island and overlooking the Knysna Lagoon, this hotel has an outdoor pool and terrace with panoramic views. Its rooms have a furnished balcony or patio.

An excellent stay at Amanzi where we were able to experiment two different rooms. Both were very comfy. The fisherman suite is awesome with its private pool and very large bathroom. The view from the room is stunning. We loved to be able to do kayaking in the morning (the hotel provides kayak for free). Miriam was very diligent to help us booking some nice restaurants always with a wonderful view seating.

Classy place, beautifully decorated, wonderful views, amazing food and attention to detail is incredible. However the winner here are the staff and hosts at Villa Afrikana. They are exceptional. They are the warmest, most helpful and attentive we have ever experienced. They preempted possible consequences of our late arrival and prompted a booking in a great restaurant for us. They arranged anything we needed and couldn’t have been kinder.

The host was very kind and as we came here on 2 special occasions (honeymoon and birthday), we even got upgraded to a beautiful big room. The room facilities were clean, comfortable and just top level. We were asked to fill in a short survey to make the breakfast fit us best, which we really loved! The room also had a balcony oveviewing the lagoon, and breakfast was superb. Would come back any time, great value for money!
