The view from the room was breath taking. You could even see whales in the sea. The interior design was so pleasant and local. The breakfast had so many choices. I stayed in the bedroom at the front. Although somewhat more expensive the view can be enjoyed from balcony, the bed and even from the bath. In front of the house is a walking path in both directions through the dunes. Restaurants are a view km by car.

The 5-star Sea Star Lodge is situated directly at the Walker Bay overlooking the Atlantic coastline of Hermanus. The lodge features a modern and spacious design.

The location is close to a shop and a few minutes drive to a “town center”. The hosts are honestly the best part of the stay. Blessed and Kate are legends.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome, and the check-in process was quick and effortless. The service is truly five-star—Jocelyn and Ansley go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and their attention to detail is remarkable. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful extras, like the honesty bar both in the room and by the pool, as well as the availability of beach towels and foldable seats for outings. We also had the privilege of enjoying a fantastic Christmas dinner and lunch prepared by a talented local chef, which made our stay even more special. This property is an absolute gem and comes highly recommended. If you’re looking for a luxurious, welcoming, and unforgettable stay in Hermanus, this is the place to be!

The location is WOW! The views are outstanding, and the hotel is so central. The seating area and pool is beautiful. The reception area is full of character. Our room exceeded all expectations! Beautiful balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. A woodfire heated hot tub (fabulous), the room was really big, exceptionally clean, smart tv, fridge, beautiful free-standing bath in the room with bath salts. It was truly gorgeous. Loved it. Staff at reception were beyond helpful! So informative about local tours etc and even rang and booked dinners for us when we were dining elsewhere.
