My fiancé and I stayed at La Maison de Tanger for 4 beautiful nights. We were in Tangier for a wedding at Villa Mabrouka at the weekend, but came to stay at La Maison to get to know Tangier beforehand. The entire staff made us feel so comfortable and welcome, especially Sandra and Oussama who came to feel like friends very quickly. Our bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower very good, and the decor is absolutely gorgeous. We also took advantage of the hammam and had gommage and massage treatments which were really lovely and we’d highly recommend. It was hardly cold by English standards but as soon as the slightest chill hit the air a roaring fire would be lit in the dining room to make sure it was extra cosy. We liked it so much that on our final day, after the wedding, we came back to say goodbye and nurse our hangovers by the peaceful pool. The owners of the hotel also happened to be in town when we were visiting and seemed like lovely people, and it was a delight to experience in their Tangier dream!

Noura and Atika are the perfect, accommodating hosts. Great to experience staying in a riad in the heart of the medina. Full service breakfast with delicious breads/crepe, fresh fruits, fresh orange juice, brewed coffee, eggs as you want them, jams/honey, cheese and olives with cloth linen table covers and napkins! You won't get this kind of personalized service at regular hotels. Lovely suite, comfortable bed/pillows, strong shower water pressure; provided toiletries (except hair conditioner), bath robes, slippers. Small safe in the room. We weren't bothered by the noise outside. Nice to walk around to check out the shops and eat at a traditional restaurant. Quick response to messages sent thru booking.com chat and Whatsapp. Noura kept checking on us before we checked in.

It was like staying in a magical palace. It transported me right back in time. A special thanks to Hajar, Ismail & Yassine. The touch to detail was sublime. Moroccan tea was offered throughout stay. Breakfast was amazing. Local fresh produce served everyday. A special shoutout to Yasmine the cat! A special spirit. We home to return. Merci beaucoup!
