Spacious rooms, excellent public rooms. Lunch in the bar was excellent as was the included breakfast. All the staff we interacted with were chereful and helpful. Our 4th visit when in the area so despite the negatives we love this hotel.

Staff were very friendly. The room was clean and furnished beautifully. The food was good and the terrace lovely for drinks. Breakfast was excellent and offered traditional full English and a range of vegan, vegetarian and other tempting choices. I would definitely go back there. The location enabled us to walk straight onto the high street with its historic buildings and great shops and eating venues. Parking is available close by. We would recommend the Gothic house and will be returning there. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable.

What a beautiful gem! Everything is just fab❤️ Starting from the stairs outside, to the building, entrance area, decor, wall decorations, the sunny terrace up to the room: such a welcoming, warm and cozy place! Charming hotel and a very cosy bar and dining area. Food excellent. We stayed in the Spa suite which is quirky and had the best biscuits ever. Will return when it’s warmer to use the tub outside. Staff super friendly and helpful.
