The hotel is stunning, with excellent service and a family feel. The breakfast is excellent and so are the other meals. The rooms are very spacious and have balconies. The staff is really kind and makes an effort to make your stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel.

From The welcoming staff who fetched us at the airport, to the amazing owner and his lovely wife, the cleaning staff, restaurant staff, security, and grounds staff were all simply amazing. I had an absolutely wonderful stay at African Bungalows in Nungwi, Zanzibar. This cozy gem exceeded all my expectations. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious, every meal was a treat! The hotel is nestled in a beautiful garden that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with a lovely pool. And the hotel is just a one minute walk to the stunning beach. The rooms are clean, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay and the bed was very comfortable, I had the best sleep in a long time. Another standout feature is the generator so you never have to worry about power interruptions. If you’re looking for a perfect spot for relaxation with excellent food and service in Zanzibar, I highly recommend African Bungalows. I’ll definitely come back!

Great breakfast selection. Lovely staff. Always water in my room and they came every evening to bug spray, close curtains and put the mosquito net down. Lovely place and the beach/surroundings are beautiful too.

It was remote but I liked that and it only has 17 rooms so a very quiet place. Exactly what I was looking for. Adults only and a spa on site. But the best feature was the staff. Excellent attention from the staff.
