This Caribbean archipelago consists of the main islands of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, and several smaller islands. Rich in nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cinnamon and cocoa, they're known as the ‘Spice Isle’. The islands are full of natural beauty, with lakes, waterfalls and floral gardens dotted all over. Grand Etang Nature Reserve in St. Andrew is famous for its crater lake and Mount Qua Qua, while the Seven Sister Waterfalls can be found close by. Grenada’s shores are blessed with sandy beaches, with the most popular stretches located in the south-west corner of Grenada island. Offering panoramic views over the capital of St. George’s, Grand Anse Beach provides a long curve of powdery white sand shaded by swaying palm trees. Rum is also one of the islands’ main exports, with several distilleries offering tours and a museum. Most accommodation can be found on Grenada island, ranging from small guesthouses to five-star hotels. The smaller island Carriacou has a number of smaller options, with some offering sea views.
