Situated on the black sands of Kauai, the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands, these oceanfront cottages in Waimea have been restored with plantation-period furniture and feature patios overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Loved this place. Would definitely stay again. View from the room, comfort, gorgeous porch, air conditioning, everything was great. The restaurant- chicken bbq, and pizza, and the great beer selection made it worth coming home for dinner at night. The wonderful staff even provided us with beach chairs and an umbrella and cooler to take to the beach with us.

Excellent stay despite the tsunami warning and evacution (yes, we were that lucky :-) ) Very nice appartment with plenty of equipment ranging from air treatment, air conditioning, many kitchen appliances, to beach towels and various snorkelling gear etc. Very comfortable and large bed in bedroom, sofa in the living room for 1 adult great as well. 3 pools on the premises (always only us bathing there), easy parking, Coconut market with almost daily shows and many food options in walking distance.

Love that they kept some of the items people had left behind e.g beach chairs, umbrellas etc. It was beautiful and clean, modern and comfortable!

There is none around where the wonderful atmosphere of the beach with the palm trees is so wonderful to experience - from 6am till 9pm. What makes it so unique is the central green area in front of all the houses - it absolutely gives the feeling of an original complex - even though it was actually built only 30 years ago (?). The beach is narrow, but with fantastic waves in the afternoon. Neighbors actually saw a turtle on the beach early in the morning as well.

Barbecue facilities are included. We really love the view, very close to the beach, where we even saw a Hawaiian monk seal very exciting. Good location to restaurants and shopping.

The grounds of the resort are very well maintained, pool water is clean and perfect temperature.
