I was travelling with my service dog, but the place is also pet-friendly. The house is set back from the main road, and it felt calm and quiet. The view of the temple in the hills at sunset was beautiful, and the outdoor terrace was a great place to relax. The weather was much milder than in Bangkok or Chiang Mai, which was a big plus for me. One of the unexpected highlights was the group of local street dogs — they were gentle and very respectful of the boundaries my dog and I set on the first day. If you don’t like dogs, you can just ignore them. But for an animal lover like me, engaging with them was a real joy. Walking through the neighbourhood with my dog while being followed closely by 12 others felt like being part of a peaceful pack. Communication with the host was smooth and fast throughout. The location is only about 30 minutes from Khao Yai National Park, and the neighbours were also very polite. I would absolutely stay here again — it offered independence, peace, and a touch of community.
