Throughout your visit you will experience several tasting of the excellent portwines of the house. And staying there you don’t need to drive anymore. (Large carpark). There is a joint drink followed by a communal dinner. The food is excellent and portwines are used in the food as well. It’s a very nice to socialize with other guests. There is a lovely swimming pool with nice seating area overlooking the wineslopes. Rooms are spotless, very comfortabel and atmospheric. Last but not least: there is a beautiful 2 hour hike from the premises through the winefields with magnificant Douro riverviews from high above! This all makes for an unforgettable experience! Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The property has a year-round outdoor pool, fitness room, public bath and garden. An amazing view of the Douro Valley. Staff was so friendly. Restaurant on site which made it nice not to drive anywhere.

This farm stay features a heated pool, a garden and free private parking. The farm stay has family rooms. Set on the edge of town this place was ideal. Quiet but near the places we wanted to go.

Situated in Castelo de Paiva, 41 km from Santa Maria da Feira Castle, CASA DAS FONTELAS features accommodation with an infinity pool, free private parking, a garden and barbecue facilities. The property features mountain and pool views, and is 47 km from Estadio do Dragao. The farm stay has family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. We loved the reception by Mrs Julia, who was very kind and friendly. She gave us tips on restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed the wineyard at the bottom of the hotel and that we were allowed to walk around at any time. The place is very calm and quiet, perfect for a escape from the city hustle and bustle. Mr Jose was also of extreme kindness setting us up with a lovely boat tour through Douro on my bday. We had just asked where we could arrange for the tour and he went all the way calling the person and helping us organize. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff was really attentive. We highly recommend a stay with them!

With inner courtyard views, this accommodation provides a patio. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. We were a trio of friends visiting the Douro region for the first time and this was a fantastic experience. Driving into the Quinta and opening the doors to the house was a dream come true for the beauty and peace and quiet of the vast vineyards. Breakfast was delivered daily to the house and we enjoyed lazing by the pool and walking around the estate. Fernanda hosted us for the winery walk and tasting and we ended up with several bottles of wine to take home. Thank you for the warmth and hospitality we felt at the Quinta. We hope to return soon.

The air-conditioned accommodation is 38 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Very beautiful arrangement of stone houses working as a hotel. Super friendly staff, excellent breakfast and good service. Enjoyed the pool.

Situated within 13 km of Natur Waterpark and 36 km of Douro Museum, Casa do Santo - Wine & Tourism features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Provesende. This farm stay has a pool with a view, a garden and free private parking. The accommodation offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service for guests. It was simply beautiful, we had the pool view room though I have to say the pool, though lovely, was the last thing your eyes feasted on, the views over the mountains and vineyards being exceptional. Pulling the window blinds up in the room took your breath away. Spotlessly clean, fresh and airy. Maria was amazing, very knowledgeable and freely giving of the interesting family history and arranged restaurants and taxis for us which was most helpful. We obviously had to sample the wine and port, again very good, the White Reserva being most excellent, so much so we had to buy some to take home to add to our collection (if it gets there!). The small but perfectly pared nibbles with the wine and port were very naughty but nice. We would definitely stay again and would certainly fully recommend anyone to visit as a must do, great place for all the great Douro river and port wine activities in a peaceful environment. The village is great too. Highly recommended. Thank you.
