Calling it a B&B hardly does it justice — it’s more like an estate. The grounds are vast, filled with olive trees, palm trees, agave, mulberry, peach trees, lemon, orange, and apple trees, along with many other plants I can’t even name. The garden seamlessly blends into the forested area of the archaeological park. And it’s also a bit of a mini zoo — home to all sorts of birds (chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, parrots, peacocks), and four-legged friends (cats, dogs, pigs, guinea pigs, donkeys), plus countless fish and reptiles. Salvadore and his family warmly welcome us and gave us all the trip tips and restaurant recommendation. It truly felt like staying with friends, not just as a guest. The breakfast here is also a must-have, with an incredibly rich selection of, including homemade jams and yogurt. One of the best stays we’ve had on our travels so far. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely look for a chance to return!

Ideally set right in the centre of Catania, Gesuiti Home di Agata e Aurora is a recently renovated holiday home, featuring free WiFi and private parking. With quiet street views, this accommodation features a balcony. The property is non-smoking and is situated 600 metres from Catania Piazza Duomo. The apartment was very clean, fully equipped, and the host, Giuseppe, was very kind. He helped us with the luggage on our last day and even helped to take us to the airport. The whole experience was amazing. I recommend it to everyone.
