There are plants, animals, sounds of the jungle: everything you would expect given the pretty location, we loved it and would recommend!

Lovely decorations, super clean, good wifi, kitchen equipped with everything you need, quiet and with green all around and right at the boarder of the National Park. Gabriel and his colleague Rodrigo gave us a little walking tour around the village with recommendations for restaurants and info/history about the town with a visit to the Turtle Museum. They were such great guys that we decided to do a Canoe tour with them the next morning and also that we enjoyed very much. Tortuguero is amazing and peaceful with its infinite beach, the canals & the park with its amazing wildlife - definitely one of our highlights of our Costa Rica trip.

New Caribe Point features a hot tub and offer massage services. Staff was amazing, truly wanted to make us comfortable. One of the big reasons we went with this hotel was the availability of the free bikes- which unfortunately kept breaking down. But they went out of their way to fix them for us. We also appreciate the do it-yourself laundry available, and the clean pool to cool off in, during the late afternoon when it’s really hot. The air conditioning worked really well and the location is great; as it is not in the middle of the downtown hustle and bustle. Very close to the national park - we biked there three times! Nice restaurant - Reggae’s - very close. Easy access to stretch of black sand beach that was not full of tourists. We spotted all kinds of tropical birds in the property and a sloth right across the street.

This was without a doubt the best accommodation we stayed at in 6 weeks travelling Central America. Such a beautiful property nestled in the jungle, with wildlife all around you. The house is spacious with lots of room for 4 and the fans and shade kept it nice and cool inside. The place has everything you need and we spent many hours playing cards outside on the deck. Would absolutely stay here again - we wish we didn't have to leave! It is out of town at gorgeous Playa Chiquita, with lots of shops and food options nearby.
