There was a viewing tower that had an amazing view of the forest. In the morning it is a perfect spot the see the birds. The lodges are very spacious and completely surrounded by nature.

Amazing wildlife, the birds, and friendly staff. We enjoyed the breakfasts and the help with setting up guides, trips. The hotel is very much 'off the beaten track" and charming. Our room had an open air garden bathroom--something I have never seen before. It was lovely.

Cute little cabins that are well appointed with private, outdoor bathrooms and onsite restaurant that attracts birds as well as a nice pool.

Exceeded expectations! The stand alone suite/cabins are brand new, beautifully designed, very spacious. Grounds are nice, amazing views to the ocean, lots of birds, a lookout tower, pool, restaurant for an excellent optional breakfast. Really reasonable prices. For dinner the Cerro Lodge is very close. Birds right outside my door.

After 3 months backpacking and sleeping in cheap accommodations, we decided to go above budget and booked the Birding Lodge. It was worth every penny. We cooled down by the pool, observed scarlet macaws and capuchin monkeys, enjoyed fantastic sunset views, gazed at starry skies and slept peacefully. Furthermore, we were able to walk to Carara and the crocodiles bridge. Federico and Alba were very welcoming and, knowing we will come/leave by bus, they picked us and dropped us to the bus stop on the main road. Fast WiFi and free coffee.

Nice air-conditioned room. Lovely gardens with good bird life. The restaurant deck area with views out to the Pacific ocean is wonderful. There were Macaws visiting the feeder's but we always seemed to miss them. You can safely walk down to the river from the lodge. There were lots of other birder's to chat to.

This is a lovely spot. The swimming pool and plunge pool were both very welcome. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was useful having a fridge, kettle and kitchen sink. The shower was excellent, the best we found during our Costa Rica trip! The river, sea, garden and countryside views were beautiful. Claudine was a friendly and helpful host.

very Creative Suite with lots of details. we loved it. very cosy and romantic also during the raining season. very nice host and helped us with ordering food and finding super nice beaches. thanks so much.
