We had such a relaxing stay at Winterton Country Lodge. The room was so thoughtfully and elegantly decorated and spotlessly clean. We appreciated the many extra blankets, the aircon & the electric blankets that kept us warm on the chilly nights. It was also lovely and quiet since the rooms are far off the road. There are generous common spaces and a large tv in the common lounge across from the bar that the owner said could be opened until 9pm. We also loved the freshly made breakfast. We’ll definitely be back the next time we come hiking in the Drakensberg!

We stayed alone in lonely place near to crocodiles' lake. Nobody was accommodated there, just us. Nothing was closer to this stay at all, just a wonderful place with a unique soul, surrounded by nature. Hard to express how we enjoyed this relaxing atmosphere. Btw, the owner upgraded us just because they were able to clean the cottage weather than expected. It was highly appreciated before challenging trip to Cathedral Peak.

Everything. It's modern, clean. Much better than than some expensive places I've booked. Honestly it's the in town. Owner very accommodating. Plenty of privacy. And the owner has good interior design taste.

Chanel made sure we were comfortable in every possible way! The room and the property look just like the pictures. A comfortable and very spacious ensuite in a farm house, with its own separate entrance, and mountain view. The property is a short 5min drive outside Winterton, which is not far, and allows for more immersion in the country atmosphere. This was a short hiking trip for us and Chanel was kind enough to prepare a delicious breakfast as an extra service. She also provided great suggestions for hiking trails, restaurants and services around! Best decision we made on this trip!
