The property itself and the features are just perfect. The wow factor really comes from the surroundings; if you are a nature lover then this is the place for you. A hidden little gem looking out over the rice fields, palm trees in every direction, endless species of birds and of course lots of other cool animals to watch out for like monkeys and frogs. Then to top it all off, the family here are just wonderful; so welcoming and hospitable... I even had days out with them! This is a little further away from some of the hot spots, however, I have honestly opted to spend whole days just relaxing here as it's such a beautiful little sanctuary that you just want to make the most of 🥰 It is also easy enough to get to places when you do need to. Hathawariya Green View Cabin made the perfect first stay for my trip as a solo female traveller.

It is an outstanding accommodation. Very beautiful and stunning views. Lovely clean rooms. Beautifully de decorated villa. It is close to the beach with a tuk tuk and we loved the hospitality of the staff and owners. Will surely get back!

Where to start? This is THE perfect place to unwind and ground during any time of your vacation. We had already been in Sri Lanka for three weeks and wanted a place away from the beach, surrounded by nature. From the local monkeys, the array of birds, flocks of parrots, and peacocks jumping up on the roof, to the resident kingfisher. The sounds in the morning are spectacular. Then there's the hotel itself, built as an old colonial-style house. The pool area is the perfect place to relax, and the food offered was lovely - we highly recommend the curry (of course). We used our days there to ground, reflect and journal. Thank you to the team for looking after us. The service was excellent throughout our stay. Grateful to the whole team.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in a room at Villa Reef Talpe & from the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and exceptional service provided by the staff. The room itself was comfortable and clean, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The view of the front beach from my room was absolutely breathtaking, offering a serene backdrop for my time there. And its definitely value for the rate. Overall, my stay at Villa Reef Talpe was nothing short of wonderful. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway by the beach with excellent service.

I really love the place! The host took care of me so much, helped with everything. When I needed I was given breakfasts and lunches, room cleaning, good wi fi - everything. And everybody here were so polite and friendly. I stayed many places in Unawatuna, but this one is my beloved! I will definitely come back. And by the way the area around is so beautiful: amazing nature, animals and birds. Thanks for everything!

VWQ is a boutique hotel with very personal service. The staff were exceptional. I had 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners at the hotel and all were delicious. It’s only a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort and lovely to leave the busyness of the Fort to relax by the pool.

I had a wonderful stay at The Islanders in Ahangama. The villa is tucked away in a quiet spot, making it perfect for relaxing after a day out. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The garden area was especially peaceful great for reading or just unwinding. Breakfast each morning was fresh and simple, with fruits, eggs, and toast served with a smile. The hosts were warm and welcoming, always ready to help with local tips. I felt right at home. Would definitely come back!
