The cabin is very comfortable and the view over the fjord and mountains is amazing. While we love Akureyri, we enjoyed sleeping outside the city. In spite of ongoing windy storm, we managed to visit around and find nice places to eat.

We had a fantastic time at this sumarhús. It was equipped with everything we could have possibly needed, from tea bags and kitchen towels to oil, spices, and even bags—small touches that made a big difference. The location was also unbeatable, making it easy to explore the area. A special mention to the host, who left us a lovely welcome gift in the fridge. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really added to the overall experience. We were very touched by it. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, and we'd definitely recommend it!

This was the top rated place we got chance to stay in Akureyri and much recommended to all as i loved every bit corner of that loving home. The surrounding was beautiful just next to the lake and isolated and personnel and the inside house was accomplished with all needed facilities including a loving Jacuzzi out under sky !! would rank as best of my experience in whole of Iceland !!

    Loved the location. Very close to forest Lagoon and easy enough to find. Few minutes drive to centre of Akureyri. Would recommend to have a car if staying here. Hot tub was easy to use and a lovely addition. The bedroom was very cosy with a beautiful view to wake up to. Right outside the apartment was a nice view of the fjord and the hills surrounding Akureyri. Perfect for a couple stay. I know that Viking Cottages also have a bigger premises for larger groups.
