The little cottages are very cute and well-equipped, Mary and Martin are excellent hosts, who showed us around the area and gave us some amazing recommendations. The animals on the farm, including a little foal called "Bruce" , a very friendly dog and cat and some lambs are also a big plus. The common rooms are super big and nicely equipped too, with a pool table and everything. I'd come back there anytime to spend some more time in the area. It's also a very good "base camp" to go and hike Croagh Patrick or drive a bit further up to the Achill Islands. There is also a bus stop quite close to the farm, which runs until 22:47, a very good option to explore Westport and the local pubs without having to drive. Many thanks to Mary and Martin for the lovely stay!

Caitríona and Johnny have done a wonderful job refurbishing the old family homeplace. A lovely turf fire welcomed us in on Friday evening and Caitríona had left fruit scones with butter and jam for some supper for us. There was milk and teas of all kinds available to us as well as everything you could need to cook. The place was spotless and really cosy. The welcome was so warm and friendly - they're the type of people you feel you know for years! We were going to a wedding in Westport and Johnny even offered us a lift home if we needed it. A real gem of a place with beautiful scenery. Highly recommended - 5 stars!

It was very relaxing to stay here. There are no neighbors: the house is surrounded by trees. The apartment is spacious. As a group of 5, we were very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Location - the stretch of road between drummin and lekavaney was the most mayo road in mayo! You are surrounded by mountains, however this did not affect phone reception, WiFi is great in the cottage aswel!

    We really enjoyed our stay at Kate’s Cottage. Johnny was very welcoming, greeting us with scones, milk, butter and a lovely fire. The house itself was cosy, clean and very comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

    A beautiful, newly renovated cottage in an idyllic location. We were greeted by the owner and his family who live next to the propery. There was a peat fire burning, home made scones and plenty of food and drink on hand before we had time to shop. Johnny, the owner, lit the fire for us each evening and a the whole family were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, suggesting places to visit and making us feel very welcome.

    We loved the feeling of being in a cabin on the mountain/in the woods.. very atmospheric. In an amazing location so close to Westport but so tranquil with it's own beautiful grounds to explore. Cottage had everything we needed and more.. our children loved their cute twin beds.

    We loved how cozy and the cottage was, not to mention the location. Perfect distance from Westport and we even snuck out for a morning swim and sauna at Old Head Beach. Will definitely be back!
