Barbara, the owner, lives onsite and she is there should you need advice or anything in relation to the cottage. The cottage is about 30 minutes from Carlow town by taxi which is doable but something to factor in should you be interested in going out while there. Barbara our host was so welcoming and full of advice on places to visit in the area. Our fridge was full with the essentials for our breakfast 🥞🍳 🥓 🍅 🍞 milk etc, and the kitchen was well stocked with every utensil, dish, pan etc. The Courtyard Cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden with lovely fields and meadows in view beyond which made for a very peaceful and relaxing break.
