The location, the fact that it was always warm inside and had firewood always available. Very close to nature and the sauna was very good as well. We could see the the nothern lights from the actual place.

It was perfect for a family, the amenities we great, including sauna, sledges, wood for fire, garage and snow shoes. The balcony and veranda was lovely for a hot drink out side.

Lovely house in great location, sense of privacy even if there are other houses around. Lovely sauna with direct access to the garden for refreshing dip in the snow! The mezzanine great for kids den. Wifi was great an added bonus was acces to streaming services and music.

Great house, very spacious, comfortable and warm in winter. It's right in the middle of the forest, in a very quite area. Has everything needed from amenities, amazing sauna and a fireplace! The house was decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch from the host.

    We had a great week with lots of snow and sun at the cottage. Simon was very helpful, gave tips and always responded very quickly to messages. The cottage is unique. Spacious and very well equipped. And always cosy and warm at -27 degrees. The small sauna was wonderful. The connection to the Y1 ski centre is great and there are also cross-country ski trails nearby. The supermarket in Äkäslompolo is very well stocked and has everything you need. We can highly recommend the cottage.

    Really cozy log cabin apartment in a great location. Good amenities and all the important equipment for cooking, cleaning and laundry worked as expected. Enough pots, pans and utensils to cook family meals. Fireplace for both warmth and atmosphere. And sauna 😊 was the best after a long cold day of skiing.

    We loved this cabin! It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The location is perfect - within walking distance of the village and shops but so quiet and peaceful. It felt like we were alone in a huge forest!! We loved the sauna and fireplace, as well as the amazing power shower. It was warm and cosy and the snow was cleared for us. Owner is friendly and helpful.
