As the owners describe this is an old wooden house, but please don’t be put off by the word old. It’s is such a special building full of character and charm. The shared bathrooms were always clean and the huge kitchen in the basement is equipped with everything you need. Switzerland is not the cheapest place to eat out so being able to cook your own meals was very cost friendly. And now to the surroundings.. wow is all I can really say. Alpenhof is basically the last house in the valley and the views around it were absolutely amazing. Snow topped mountains right behind, waterfalls all through the valley, a beautiful flat walk to lauterbrunnen. Dianne the owner only added to the charm of the place, we felt so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in somewhere so beautiful. As Mary Poppins said Alpenhof was “practically perfect in every way”

Beautiful location. The property is located in the heart of Lauterbrunnen. Perfect location with view of the waterfall and the valley. Me and my family stayed there for 4 days and it was the best stay we experienced in Switzerland.

Everything - location was right next to Hotel Sonne bus stop from where one can take direct bus to Ost, West and Wilderswil train stations. The property has all kitchen equipments and we could even cook Indian food easily. The rooms are spacious with one bathroom on first floor and one on ground floor. Lot of heaters in the property as well.

I had a wonderful stay! The place was very clean, quiet, and comfortable — everything was just as expected, if not better. The location was amazing, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to nearby attractions. The hosts were kind and helpful, and the overall experience was exceptional. What a wonderful experience. The tiny eco lodges are perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway, yet close to all the exciting activities Interlaken has to offer. The small unit consists of a comfy bed nook with picturesque views, a cozy seating area, a fully equipped kitchen, a rather spacious bathroom, and a charming outside area. The smart layout with additional storage below the bed and seating area provides more space and comfort than originally anticipated. Clean. Cozy. Comfortable. And it truly isn’t an exaggeration to say that the views ARE gorgeous!
