A truly old-fashioned wooden house with tasty-warm wood heaters and atmosphere. I loved the communal living area where everyone was chatty and friendly, including our host. The communal kitchen was amazing. Well done Diane!

Amazing view, confortable and cosy. Everything is new, good quality furnishing. The kitchen is equipped with everything, it even had some cooking oil and salt/pepper, which is nice, when you cannot carry any kitchen stuff with you. The environment is quiet and relaxing.

The accommodation is exactly as described and as shown in the pictures. You have the whole bungalow by yourself and it was specious too. The place comes with complete facilities including washing and dryer if you need to do some laundry. Will need to prepare coins (changeble at reception/shops) so no need to worry if you do not have one. There is direct bus to the place too either from Interlaken Ost or Interlaken West Station. The host was very friendly and will respond to any of your queries promptly. We had a great time there! Thanks Deniz!

Everything was great! Lovely old chalet in the centre of Interlaken. Easy walk to both train stations. Very clean, plenty of beds. Owner was extremely helpful on the day we arrived. All communication was clear, friendly and fast. Great for a large group. PS There is now a coffee maker :)

    Diane was a lovely helpful host, nothing was too much trouble. Having a well equipped kitchen for guests was also a real bonus, to allow self catering. The house was warm, comfortable and excellent value for money.

    Great value for money with a super friendly helpful host. It couldn’t have been more perfect for our family. You literally step out and have the most amazing countryside and walks on your doorstep. The facilities are basic and there is no wifi but we loved that.

    Beautiful. Simply beautiful. Stunning scenery. The house very simple and that was just perfect for us. Lauterbrunnen was very bustling with tourists but out by Stechelberg where the Alpenhof mountain house is situated there is just mountains, and quiet, only sound the nearby waterfall .. simply idyllic. The hostess Diane is very friendly and helped us a lot, everything is very informal and easy going

    The location was the best we could imagine, it is situated at the very end of the mountain foot leading to the Jungfrau, a very quiet small village with the view of the waterfall, while still not far away from the nearest train station by car to go up to the mountain top. The kitchen is well equipped to make dinners with our own food. The dining room is very cosy with a nice fireplace.
