This has to be one of my favourite places I have stayed in Vietnam. The host was amazing, helped us to organise activities in Mù Cang Chai which really made our stay special. Incredible views, so peaceful, would love to visit this homestay again.

If you want to be close to real life of Vietnamese, try this place. It's in the middle of hills, with one of the best views which I have ever seen, close to villages where you can find people, which are still not so influenced by tourism. The room was clean and nice, but the most important point is the personality of the owner, really brilliant lady who is able to organised everything what you need. And the dinner with her and her family was the excellent and very pleasant experience.

This is one of my best places to stay in Vietnam, the location is extremely quiet after tiring and noisy days in the cities. From top of the hill you can view the villages, fields and sunset from the hammock on the floor. Also the trekking with Ms Ha was really the perfect highlight, we went through the Hmong villages, saw how they farm on the terraced fields, challenging and interesting, during the trip I was introduced to a lot of local culture, customs and everything was authentic not like a tourist location. Here can completely provide a vegetarian meal for my needs. I fully appreciated and recommend this place to other people.

A nice holiday place, good for exploring the valley with the rice field terraces. The hosts are very helpful. They both speak English, so there are no problems communicating. Food and drinks is served in the small restaurant by request.

We had the most incredible experience staying at a charming homestay nestled in the heart of Vietnam's rice fields. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the lovely family who owned the homestay. Their genuine kindness made us feel like we were part of their own family. The homestay itself was a peaceful sanctuary, surrounded by rice terraces stretching as far as the eye could see. The view from our room was simply breathtaking, with the vibrant fields contrasting beautifully with the clear blue sky. The family took great care in making sure we felt at home, offering traditional Vietnamese meals that were absolutely delicious. We had the chance to join them in the kitchen and learn how they prepared their dishes, an experience I will never forget. Every meal felt like a celebration of the region’s flavors, from the freshest vegetables to the most aromatic herbs. We also had the opportunity to explore the surrounding area with the family. They took us on a scenic walk through the rice terraces, sharing stories about their farming traditions and the history of the region. It was a beautiful and educational experience, and I truly felt connected to the land and its people. This homestay was more than just a place to stay, it was a chance to immerse ourselves in the authentic beauty of rural Vietnam while meeting people from all over the world. The family’s warmth and the stunning surroundings made it an experience I will cherish forever. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat in Vietnam, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The who woman worked there (sister og the manger) dont understand english, but just mimik, she will know what you want. She was so service minded, Nice, helpfull .. even sew a part of my clothes for me. She makes fantastic Northern Vietnamese Food. I loved the place. And so nice to meet such a humble beautiful soul as her and her little son.

    Mu Cang Chai is a beautiful place, but fortunately quite far...

    Mu Cang Chai is a beautiful place, but fortunately quite far from the main tourist routes of northern Vietnam. Given its remoteness, if you're unsure how many days to spend there, I advise to add an extra day. Renting a motorbike is easier for getting around, but the area is ideal for trekking.

    Mu Cang Chai has similar things to Sa Pa, in terms of...

    Mu Cang Chai has similar things to Sa Pa, in terms of landscape, culture and people. However, Mu Cang Chai is more deserted and authentic for experiencing and exploring, moreover, all the beautiful terraced fields that represent the promotion in Sa Pa come from Mu Cang Chai. This is definitely an attractive destination in the future in Vietnam although the travel conditions are not really good.

    The wonderful quiet place with perfect room with own toilet...

    The wonderful quiet place with perfect room with own toilet and shower air-condition friendly people strong WiFi for each floor all house outside secured by cameras. The mountain and river view includes waterfall and rice fields. In luxury interier is fireplace and several places to sit or have a barbecue. Just the best place we staed here in Vietnam.
