It was such a beautiful experience to meet such a nice farmer family. You get to know the culture and the agriculture of the region. Nature all around is wonderful. The children are cheerful and so lovely. I could go and visit the sacred wonderful tree and walk through such peaceful pathways, crossing little rivers with pure and crystal water coming from the mountains. The small village is very clean, with a rich fruit production (apples, apricots, walnuts, some small white sweet fruits). In the morning, I could go with Moxabbat to visit all their farm, understanding the hard work and their agro-ecological knowledge. The breakfast was delicious and super nutritious as all the production is organic. We had a lot of types of fruits, diary products, jellies and marmalades, eggs, ham, vegetables. All was so clean and with so much order. Very nice decorated, you feel they like so much their farm!! At the end, they gave me so many fruits, and typical sweets and farm products. All delicious and nutritious! they invited me to have a typical traditional dinner!! All delicious! The children were playful, respectful and very interested in other cultures. I would have liked to stay more. But one day, I'll return with my family! I'm Mexican and Swiss, so it was so interesting for me to have met them and even that we didn't speak a common language, we could use the sign language, and the smiling language, and of course the digital translator.

Amazing stay in a yurt in the Nurata mountains. Food was great, yurt comfie and warm. Beautiful location among the walnut and fruit trees.

Nice breakfast. The other meals were fine as well. Guides take you into the mountains. The host plays music for you. Komil's place is actually two houses, one of Komil and one of his brother, and they both rent out a number of their rooms. There are two sanitary blocks with clean toilets and showers. Beds are hard, as most beds in Uzbekistan. The family is very modest, friendly and hospitable. Komil has been a teacher of music. His son is a driver and a mountain guide. The drive from Samarkand takes about 4 hours and costs around 250 dollars for a party of 10.

I really enjoyed my stay at Aslon Homestay. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. The hosts were friendly and served delicious traditional meals. It’s a great place to experience local culture in a calm setting. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay. It's a good way to get to know the Uzbek culture, far away from the touristy areas. It's run by a family. Nigina and her girls cooked amazing fresh food every day. Best food we had in whole Uzbekistan especially the Plov, even the guides who stayed there it's one of the best they ever had. Raxmat is an amazing host he helped us with thing from the beginning till the end, with transportation or also with hike tours. The place is good for every type of travellers, there were also some families, solo female travelers etc. For us, we stayed 3 nights, it was nice to disconnect (they have wifi) but we never used it. There is plenty of things to do like hiking etc. We will miss this wonderful place. Thank you again Raxmat and Nigina!

lovely place with kind hosts 🌿 We enjoyed our stay here. The location is beautiful, the price is good, and the amenities are comfortable and clean. The family is kind and welcoming, and there are convenient options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you need them. The young boys speak good English, which made communication easy. One point to note is that the family offers many tours and local activities, which might feel a bit pushy if you already have your own plans. We had a rental car and just needed a quiet place to rest, so constant suggestions for additional services felt a bit tiring over time. However, we appreciate that it comes from their desire to help and show guests around. Overall, I would recommend staying here if you want a peaceful, clean place with a warm local family. It’s a beautiful area, and the hosts genuinely care about their guests’ comfort. It would be even better if the hosts could give guests more space to relax without feeling pressured, which would help visitors enjoy their stay even more. A beautiful guesthouse with a lovely garden and an excellent location for hiking in the surrounding area. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They arranged transportation for us from Samarkand and back to Bukhara. They also helped us organize hikes in the area. They serve excellent local dishes here. We highly recommend it to everyone!

Everything! We booked this very last minute, about an hour before we arrived. We had booked another guesthouse, but when we arrived there we were not welcomed, then shown to a room we had not booked (despite the room I booked still being available on the site). There were children non stop screaming and we could not get any assistance. I booked a night in the mountains as a relaxing break from the cities. This was anything but. As I was in tears we left and I booked Nurata Eco Guesthouse in the neighbouring valley. Well, what a contrast! We were greeted at the gate by two of the sons, who were friendly and polite. They carried our cases to our room. Which was large, clean and airy. We were asked if we wanted dinner (small charge) and we did. After a short look round the garden, which was peaceful with birdsong and the stream running by, dinner was at 8pm. We had a home cooked delicious meal of a mutton(?) soup, bread, sweets, fruit, somsas, and tea. It was sooo yummy and relaxing. The older son chatted to us, and showed me a book on local wildlife as I was interested. We had a wonderful nights sleep, waking to birdsong of the orioles, and even a blue whistling thrush! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious too. The bathroom was clean and had a fantastic shower. The bed was comfy and the sheets fresh. We wished we could have stayed longer. The young men helped us with our luggage when we left and gave us a large bag of cherries as a gift. We cannot recommend this guesthouse and the family that owns it highly enough! Book this, you won’t be disappointed!
