We were looking for a hotel close to the Disney parks (but not a Disney hotel itself). Homewood Suites in Flamingo Crossings is ideally located for trips to the Disney parks (we visited MK and AK). The hotel and the whole area are pretty new. The staff was really nice, the room was spacious & clean and all facilities were well-maintained (especially the pool was really nice after a long day in the park). Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

    I always love to visit Orlando and have been multiple times!! This particular visit was a bucket list vacation gift from my dad for our family. We visited Disney World & Universal Studios for a week. The new EPIC park at Universal Studios is a smaller park, but a definite & exciting must see. It was easy to get around Orlando, however, there are lots of toll roads and traffic peak times vary. The rainy weather can put a damper on certain outdoor activities and rides at the theme parks but there are always lots of indoor activities until the rain subsides. There's lots of local shopping, restaurants, souvenir shops and site seeing to do. Along International Drive, near the convention center, there are lots of places to visit like ICON Park for The Wheel, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, the SEA LIFE Aquarium, Topgolf, WonderWorks and Ripley's Believe It or Not! Cocoa Beach and other beaches are not too far off the beaten path. There's fun for every age. I will warn you to check with the visitor's center to ask when the European crowd will be in Orlando. Their school breaks are very different than our typical American summer and holiday breaks; and their presence can affect crowd sizes and wait times. Orlando is packed with fun and adventure for families, couples or solo travelers. So plan a trip and have fun! Signed, The Texas Traveler

    It was an awesome city.

    It was an awesome city. A lots to do based on your family desires. Seafood restaurants were great. Walmart was not far from us. Everything you need right there..waterparks, grocery stores, entertainment, and restaurants.

    I lived in Orlando in the past and wanted to take my kids to see KSC and Sea World. Too bad we were caught in a thunderstorm with lightening, which meant SeaWorld closed early but that is typical of FL.

    Orlando is a vibrant city and destination which attracts many tourists due to its proximity to the theme parks located in the southern part of the city. Good airport, great shopping with numerous fashion outlets, and great proximity to explore Daytona, Tampa and Miami.

    I think Orlando has a lot to offer, not only in theme parks but it is in general relatively accessible. In spite of the theme parks, mostly not overcrowded. There are nice malls in the area. Most things are relatively close by.

    It is close to the Disney World Resort. If you are good by walking you can go to Disney Springs and catch a bus for the Disney Parks. They are free to ride so you can spent the money for the taxi. It is a 30 min walk to the bus stop. To find the bus stop check out the Disney Experience App. You can buy Disney World and Universal Tickets in the Hotel Lobby. They are also supporting you for any questions you have to the parks.

    Best part is the free shuttle to Universal and proximity to Disneyworld at the price. The room was excellent, they have laundry, restaurants, and a small grocery shop that we visited every day of our stay for light bites. The hotel is also close to a shopping complex and outlet malls that have various cuisines to try.
