I recently travelled from Queens to Niagara Falls with my family, using a combination of train and Uber. It was the first time my children experienced the falls, and we chose to explore the U.S. side. The trip was truly memorable — especially the Cave of the Winds, which turned out to be the highlight for me, my wife, and my kids. Being so close to the powerful water and feeling the mist was an incredible and thrilling experience. We also enjoyed the Maid of the Mist boat ride and the spectacular overall view of the falls. I love getting blasted by the waterfall mist (Maid of the Mist boat tour) literally blinded and couldn't keep my eyes open next to the Horseshoe falls. I love getting blasted by the waterfall currents (Cave of the Wind) and getting my entire body, cloths, socks, shoes, wet. I don't like waiting in the long lines when it's hot. Go during the weekdays, not the weekends. Light show and fireworks are kind of mediocre. I was always told that you had to stay at Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. Well that is only if you desire to see the falls from your hotel room. Otherwise you can experience everything (except walking behind horseshoe falls) from the American side. I LOVED THE STATE PARK AND THE OPTION TO BUY A SHUTTLE TICKET FOR THE TROLLEY. IT WAS $5 PER PERSON FOR AN ADULT, GET ON AND OFF FOR THE ENTIRE DAY, WHICH SEEMED VERY FAIR.
