This B&B is THE place. We were treated like family. I felt so cared for and attended to, the lovely owner made sure there were cookies and asked which wines we would like. I was absolutely astounded with the care and consideration with the room and accommodations. The entire place was decorated beautifully, (which is SO HARD for hotels and B&B to accomplish,) it was decorated not only perfect for the area, but perfect for Newport. Newport is GORGEOUS, and the Bed and Breakfast completely reflected it! It had beach access which was adorably decorated on the walk there and back. The bed was lovely and clean and it had a whole fireplace!!!!!!!! I really cannot overhype this place, I almost don't want to leave a lovely review because I'd love to gatekeep it all for myself! If you're lucky enough to snag a room, I'm JEALOUS!! 129/10 Love it.

Really clean. Great job, cleaning staff! Spotless. Appreciate that there was no disgusting 50 year old carpet like in other motels but a floating floor instead.

    Hope to be back.

    Hope to be back. Had a fine stay at the Newport Belle sternwheeler and wonderful visit to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The Bayfront area was fun, especially the sea lions. Wasn’t able to hit many of the recommended restaurant options so have to return.

    Newport is in the middle of a series of beach communities...

    Newport is in the middle of a series of beach communities with each having a special character and usually a harbor. The various harbors seem to have the the best culinary experience. Willamette Valley connections define the access - Portland to Seaside, Tillamook, Cannon Beach, Salem to Lincoln City, Corvallis to Newport, Eugene to Florence. With smaller communities in between. The State and Federal Forest Service Parks and viewing sites including light houses, aquariums and Marine Science center are great. Rambling up the small coastal roads into the coastal mountains provide an insight into the logging history and First Nation culture..... And don't forget the tides, high and low with the latter exposing fantastic marine life tide pools.

    Loved the stay at Embarcadero room was great the front desk or not very helpful until they got the manager. He was great but they still didn’t actually tell me or called me saying what my price was because of the mixup staying at the bayfront was very confusing to park your It’s a nightmare can’t pick up Wi-Fi to pay for it

    Newport is a very charming beach city.

    Newport is a very charming beach city. We loved the hotel we stayed in ( The Nye), the ocean front with a view of the bridge and great restaurants ( we especially like The Local Fish House) and everyone we met locally was so nice!

    Great town, lots of history, multiple dining choices, easy...

    Great town, lots of history, multiple dining choices, easy beach access, plenty of shopping opportunities, all the large fishing boats are fun to look at. Traffic can get a bit busy, especially during peak tourist season or weekends year-round. Take a mid-week vacation and avoid most of that.

    We love Newport!

    We love Newport! There are many wonderful restaurants in which to satisfy our seafood cravings. Our absolute musts are Local Ocean and Zurita. There are nice lodgings with an ocean or bay view. We like the Elizabeth Street Inn, Embarcadero, Starfish Point, just to name a few. We love to go to the Hatfield Marine Science Center and the aquarium. It isn’t a long drive to Yachats for lunch at Ona or to Depoe Bay for lunch at Tidal Raves. We used to love the shops in NYE Beach, but there are very few left now. At least the Peerless Puffin is still there. Newport is our favorite coastal town.

    When I booked it said it was a newly opened hotel and the room had unfinished trim, broken pieces in sink and If you moved the tv it would shut off. The RV’S parked outside our balcony we could smell someone smoking marijuana. We had to close our door. We did appreciate the use of a box fan however it wasn’t in the best condition. It would rattle and make sounds like something was in the fan all night. We had to go buy our own for the rest of the stay. No coffee maker in room also, no shampoos

    It was our wedding night and the front desk was so sweet! They gave us a better room with the best view of the ocean and a bottle of lemonade. The view was incredible!! The room was extremely clean, it felt like home instead of a hotel. We will definitely be coming back here!
