The breakfast was nice. Nothing extraordinary, but all the things you need for a good everyday breakfast. Well, the oven baked omelette was actually extraordinarily good. The people were very nice and serviceminded. I stayed in the hostel, and it was good value for the money.

The hotel is very nice with excellent and tasteful rooms. It is located very convenient with lots of restaurants close by. The breakfast buffé was really nice with almost everything you could ask for (no hot dishes though). The check-in went smoothly and the staff was very nice.

Location was perfect and car park very close to the Hotel and free. Breakfast was good and little extra details included was nice. Room was really nice and tidy. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We booked quite last minute, the host was really helpful, when we arrived the fire was already pre lit and the football already on! It was really really comfy and a truly beautiful property.

Real nice quiet location. View over the lake. Hosts were were very kind! The lodge has a really nivce livingroom in which you can relax. We has a super nice room with a view on the lake. Host Marc tiold us a lot about history of the really old lodge! This is an unqique place which we will try to visit again once!

Cozy and clean cottage with everything we needed. A nice little stream pourls some meters from the house which has a soothing effect on you. Its quiet and also if you like to gaze at the stars at night, this is a good spot. The nice hosts got roosters, hens & sheeps which adds alot to the countryside atmosphere.

Our expectations were exceeded here. The accommodation is idyllically situated in the forest, not far from the main house, but still very private. The view from the room was fantastic and we also liked the decoration in the cabin. The beautiful Källberg trail, which is about 3 km long and has been specially marked by the hosts, starts right outside the door. The cabin has a very clean dry toilet and an induction hob. In the main house there is also a normal toilet, a shower, an outdoor shower, a sauna, a well-equipped kitchen, a small store and a lounge. There are also a number of activities on offer, including free kayak hire on a nearby lake. We stayed here with our dog and really enjoyed our stay. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come back. Thank you Maria, your family and your German helper.

We stayed there for the second time. Great cottage, very private and quiet surrounding at the river (swimming possible). Very few traffic on the road, no disturbing. Living room, big comfortable kitchen with separate big eating room, bed rooms upstairs and downstairs. Really big garden and forest beside. Fully recommended.

    Our stay in Sweden left the best impression. Although we didn’t meet the hosts in person, we felt very welcomed – everything was perfectly prepared for our arrival. The cottage was extremely tidy, cozy, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, so from the very first moment, we felt at home. The surrounding nature was simply enchanting, providing a sense of peace and relaxation. We are glad we chose this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful retreat in nature.

    Lovely Swedish house in the woods, peace and quiet place for slow-life holidays. We had a great white christmas stay for our family of 5. A little surprice with the water quality in the tap, would be great to know to buy drinking water in advance. The house has everything you need and more. The host was responsive and very helpful, we got all extras we asked for and very flexible with check-in/check out.

    Very rural and quiet area, nice small town, lovely villages...

    Very rural and quiet area, nice small town, lovely villages around. Good access, excellent roads. Commuter rail running frequently from Karlstad. A lot of moose and deer in the deep forests around. Try the small forest gravel roads (mostly very good) to discover them but be aware on main roads as well. "Älgs" are very big, we saw a lot beside roads (especially near Norwegian borders). A lot of lakes with swimming possibilities in summer, signed beaches. Got in Oktober suddenly the first snow after warm days. Autumn is very beautiful. It is an area for nature lovers, nothing for party scene, even you find some restaurants and shopping centers. Keep the speed limit (always signed) in mind, a lot of automatic speed cameras - high fines.

    Torsby has everything you need unless you are a party animal...

    Torsby has everything you need unless you are a party animal then maybe it's not for you. Plenty of food options , places for a beer and supermarkets. Also a mix of clothes stores and 2and hand shops.
