Bäckaskog Slott is beautifully situated between the lakes Oppmannasjön and Ivösjön. A monastery was built here in the 13th century and was later converted in to a castle in the 17th century.

A beautiful and meticulously renovated small castle set in a lovely carefully maintained park with access to two lakes. The staff are super charming, welcoming and accommodating. Very nice restaurant with excellent food selections and a good wine list. Rooms are spacious and clean with a nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet was great, lots to chose from.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great. We did use the 24 h reception as one of us two arrived in the early morning and it was no problem to leave a second keycard at the reception. Check out time is late enough to sleep a little after arriving late/early with a train.

Great value for money, the location is amazing, beautiful lake and hiking paths. Even our dog had a great time, we need more hotels that allow dogs ❤️

Very close to the train station and anything else you needed was just a few minutes walk away. Easy check in and out. Didn’t hear any noise from neighbors, so I was either lucky or the rooms are soundproof. Great food (although I was not able to attend the dinners, but the breakfast was good). The hotel room itself was very comfy and cozy. Might have to come back here someday! 10/10

My stay at The Bishops Arms was absoutely fantastic. From the time I arrived I was met with a smile from the man behind the desk and it got better from there. The room was spotless, the bed was extremly comfortable and there was endless hotwater in the shower. The wi-fi allowed me to watch a movie on my Netflix account, and the breakfast was fabulous and included in the price.

Situated 5 minutes’ walk from Kristianstad Train Station, this property offers free Wi-Fi access and rooms with TVs and work desks. Kristianstad Theatre is a 2-minute walk away.
