I loved Severin's Fortress, it was such an amazing find and I could have stayed all day. The city itself is pedestrian friendly with a lot of options for eating. It is a border town with all the problems that come with that. I cycled from Serbia and there was a shocking amount of dead dogs on the road. Then, terribly, there were young girls working as sex workers on the first off ramp. Just shocking. The Romanian Government has to help these people. The room was very basic but perfect for a one night stay.
The room was very basic but perfect for a one night stay. There was a restaurant on location in the inner yard of the building, in a beautiful garden setting. The food was delicious! Because of the restaurant, the garden may get noisy in the summer months but it was pretty quiet at the beginning of October. There were many cars parked on the street so it may get tricky to park in peak season. The city is easy to get around in and the city center is a 20 minute walk from the hotel.Guest review byCameliaHungary

The apartment is close to the city center, and has easily available parking spots. There are plenty of stores, restaurants and bars nearby. The place is nicely furnished and clean, feels homely, and has all necessary comforts for one to enjoy their stay.
