Wonderful, beautiful place. We stayed in the Sea suite with amazing roof terrace and view. Breakfast was wonderful. In my experience hotel breakfasts in Portugal tend to be simple, with limited choice. This was far better, the usual toasts and cereals and then also pancakes, egg and bacon and fresh orange juice. Friendly staff, free parking just outside. Easy walking distance to the town, beach and restaurants. The on site cafe, Sapé, had amazing food, probably best place to eat in town. Sao Pedro de Moel is a charming, low key little resort place, feels very untouristed.

Our room looked exactly like in the pictures on the ad - spacious and with a seperate lounge area. It was crisp, clean, luxurious and smelled amazing. One of the best quality beds we've ever had in hotels!! Extremely quiet airconditioner. The staff were so helpful and friendly, breakfast was a good variety, delicious and enjoyed in a beautiful breakfast room. Even though it was located next to a busy road, the good insulation ensured a peaceful, quiet nights rest in a king's bed!

Location, location, location.

Location, location, location. Family friendly hostess at our hotel....I could see bringing my grand children there as kids were welcomed. Nearby restaurant was excellent (there is one other within an easy walk which we didn't try as the one across the street was excellent), but for variety requires a drive. Less than 10K south there are many restaurants on the beach. We chose Magna Carta which had Luis an excellent sommelier and quite good food. He introduced me to wine I had never had, Arinto, which was outstanding.

Great little low key resort town between sea and pine forest...

Great little low key resort town between sea and pine forest, feels very natural and untouched by tourism. Lots of local tourists, but no noisy discos or garish shops. Beautiful beaches, powerful Atlantic waves, probably no swimming as such, play in the surf instead, so not good for small children.

It is a small town out of the way and not as popular as...

It is a small town out of the way and not as popular as other major locations however it is perfect for a tranquil holiday or get away. For us it had everything: Great water views as well as forested areas where one can go for a stroll or hike. The Estrela do Mar restaurant was an pleasant find with exceptional food and great service.

São Pedro de Moel is a very small seaside village.

São Pedro de Moel is a very small seaside village. As it was out of season (early April) it was very very quiet. I am sure it livens up in summer as it had a nice beach. There are only 2 restaurants and a bar and one of them was closed as it was a Monday.

Staying out of season (January) it's always difficult to get a feel for how it might be in the summer, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, although the hotel could do with a little modernization in parts, it's very clean and has everything we needed for our cycling stop over. Inès was lovely, she ensured we had a safe lockable storage for our tandem overnight and that done she directed us to the only local restaurant for dinner, she really is an asset to this establisment!

Very cosy and familiar hotel. It has a minimalistic vibe while also feeling comfortable and stylish. The location is very good since you can both see the sea (privileged location to watch the sunset from the rooms) and the pine forest behind. With this being said, you feel a sense of privacy at all times. Everything is very direct and simple to deal with and, the host replies fast as well. Would definitely recommend and revisit.
