Staying at Solar de Vila Meã was a beautiful experience from start to finish. The first thing that struck me was the setting — it’s absolutely stunning. Surrounded by vineyards and peaceful countryside, the entire property feels like a hidden retreat. Every view, whether from the room, the pool, or the garden, looked like a painting. There’s a real sense of calm and space here that’s hard to describe but easy to fall in love with. The restaurant, Barro, completely exceeded expectations. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they serve, which made the whole experience even more special. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty with exceptional food and a sense of quiet luxury, I couldn’t recommend Solar de Vila Meã more highly.

I bought a night for 2 couples as a Christmas present, and they were delighted. I have been previously and this place is a little gem. The food at the restaurant is beautiful, rooms super clean and big, staff is friendly. The environment is super cozy and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect, beautiful place to stay in family, the site was wonderful offering a full modern kitchen, outside BBQ where you can cook your own meat and fish, beautiful installations. The location of the apartment is very convenient to visit the main attractions of the area like Barcelos, Braga and Guimarães. It is located on a side street off the main road. It is part of a small block of flats. There is a Lidl on the main road which is 8 mins drive away. There is also a convenient store and bakery on the main road, less than 5 mins walk away. The apartment is great and beautiful too! It was clean and well presented. There are two large bedrooms, both with comfortable, clean beds. We liked that there is an ensuite bathroom and a separate toilet. We were four people after all. The kitchen is very well equipped which allowed us to cook our evening meals. The dishwasher was a great help for that. Great communication with the owner. The instructions to pick-up and drop off the keys were clear and easy to understand. On time communication.
