We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location is pure wilderness, surrounded by nature, with breathtaking, unpolluted night skies full of stars. The breakfasts were fantastic, and the hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. Al has amazing stories about wine and offers a great wine tasting experience, while Ana prepares delicious meals and is super helpful with tips on what to see in the area. The design of the place is stunning, the mattresses and bedding are top-notch, and everything feels truly first-class. It’s a unique spot, definitely worth visiting. We highly recommend it! This place is truly special — a beautiful project by Kristof and Koenraad that, as Koenraad said, comes straight from their hearts and is generously shared with other people From the main terrace, you can take in a stunning view of the entire valley. The grounds are gorgeous, and the pool is just perfect for a refreshing swim. You can also enjoy a game of pétanque while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Inside, the living room is cozy and welcoming, with incredible music playing — the hosts have fantastic taste. It’s the perfect spot to relax and gaze out over the valley. Kristof and Koenraad gave us a room with a balcony and a view stretching all the way to the ocean on the horizon. Everything was spotlessly clean and carefully arranged down to the smallest detail. Breakfasts were a real highlight — especially Kristof’s homemade pastries. Absolutely delicious! They also shared amazing local tips and recommendations every day, always checking in to make sure we had great plans and weren’t missing anything. Their care and attention were exceptional. I truly believe very few people in the world offer such kind of hospitality that Kristof and Koenraad do. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable for your vacation - this is the place. Kristof & Koenraad — thank you for everything!

We stayed for two nights at this beautiful quinta with my family and had a wonderful time. The infinity pool is amazing, and the surroundings are absolutely stunningpeaceful and scenic. The studio rooms are very spacious, modern, and brand new, offering a lot of comfort. We definitely want to come back highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

It was a pleasure to meet the hosts and all their wonderful dogs and piggies. Each dog has its own story and character. They are really friendly once they get to know you and instantly aim to be cuddled. I find this place truly rewarding, calm, and peaceful!

Herdade da Maceira is located in a wonderful valley, all surrounded by trees, there are murmuring waters and everything is green and one is as close to nature as possible. The little appartment is cosy, stylish and very comfortable. We stayed only for one night but would like to come back. The host was incredibly nice and helpful. We had a wonderful stay!
