The location was the best ever to exist. It was right in the old town with many restaurants. The best restaurant I ate on was Piu Vicino - an Italian restaurant and it was right below the hotel. Amazing!!!! You have to try their bruschetta if you go, wow the best thing I’ve ever eaten 12/10 stars⭐️ The rooms at the IBB hotel were also amazing. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. Big room and the best part was there is no traffic noice. It was so quiet in the evening that you couldn’t hear anything. We stayed on the 4th floor. Very sweet that they put 2 welcome drinks in the mini bar for free (water and juice I think) not every hotel does that. But we didn’t realize this until we were going home so we let it be. And the staff - so welcoming and nice and helpful. They helped us store our luggage for free when we arrived because we landed early and our room wasn’t ready yet. So good that you can do that so you don’t have to carry all your luggage when your exploring the city. The staff deserves a raise! Always smiled at us and greet us in the morning and made sure everything was good. Overall - the best hotel me and my friend ever stayed at and we have stayed in so many hotels in so many countries and we could agree on that. We will definitely be coming back to you next time we visit Gdansk cause everything was just perfect! Thank you so much ❤️

Great location right beside the main train station and within walking distance to the old town and huge shopping mall. Room was clean and warm (we stayed there during cold, winter days), the bathroom was pretty and the water in the shower was getting the right tempetaure and pressure quick and easily. Bed was incredibly comfortable, room was a liitle bit noisy (3rd floor, window to the main road) but not that noisy that we couldn´t sleep or something. Staff was friendly, restaurant was very busy and barely handeling the situation but the waitress informed us that they had short stuff because of the flu season and the service could take longer than usual. Their beer is great.

FAQs about hotels in Gdańsk

Charming Architecture And a Breath of History

Called the Amber Capital of the World, Gdańsk is the major shipping seaport and the most beautiful city along the Polish Baltic coast. It has everything a city of this scale needs: a fascinating history, great architecture and a friendly atmosphere!

Also known as Danzig due to its complex past with periods of Polish, German and self-rule, the city is part of the Tricity urban area together with the port city of Gdynia and the popular spa town, Sopot. It’s also a birthplace of the world-famous Solidarity movement, which helped to bring down the Communist rule in Poland initiating the end of the Cold War era.

Its charming buildings were rebuilt in a historical style after the near-complete destruction during the World War II. The colourful town houses of the Old Town can be admired by boat on the Motlawa River or enjoyed while strolling along the popular Long Street and Long Market.

While in Gdańsk, make sure you visit the 15th-century St Mary’s Church, the largest brick church in Europe, and you make a wish at the Neptune Fountain, the city’s patron. While in town, try the legendary local Goldwasser liqueur with 22 karat gold flakes!

Whether you reach Gdańsk by train or plane, Booking.com offers a variety of accommodation near the Lech Walesa Airport, the picturesque Old Town or the general city centre.

    Gdansk is absolutely beautiful.

Gdansk is absolutely beautiful. The architecture reminded me of Amsterdam but even better, each building has it's own unique story and design. The streets are beautiful and bustling and have lots of great local food options. Definitely a gem in the North of Poland.

Gdańsk is such an amazing city—we've visited many times, and there's always something new to discover. I absolutely love Jarmark Dominikański; the Old Town truly comes alive with food stalls offering flavors from around the world. It's the perfect place to eat, drink, and shop for unique items you won’t find elsewhere. If you're a history lover, I highly recommend visiting the Amber Museum or the Museum of the Second World War—both offer fascinating insights into the city’s rich past. For a relaxing day, head to Żabianka Beach. From there, you can enjoy a beautiful coastal walk all the way to Sopot. It's a perfect mix of seaside atmosphere and city charm.
