The location is absolutely breathtaking and super value for money. Its a great break from the beach scene and felt like something out of Robinson Crusoe ☺️. You will realize why it’s called nuts hits when you see the view as our first reaction was “this is nuts”! We loved sleeping to the sounds of the jungle and when the natural sounds were gone we loved the music playing in the restaurant (super playlist). Food at the restaurant is also surprisingly good for the Philippines. Best times to be there are in the morning or evening - between around 10:00 and 17:00 there are many tourist boats passing playing cheesy loud music. That’s the only downside but if like us you use the nuts huts as a base to explore the island it’s perfect. NB no hot water (totally fine in the heat) and stairs that will make you realize how unfit you actually are 😄 but it’s totally worth it!

The resort itself is beautiful. It is surrounded by wildlife and jungle. Our room was really big, bed was comfortable, food in the resort was really tasty. The pool was lovely and big! We spent 2 nights here and I would of stayed another couple of nights but we had to move on to the next place. The staff were so friendly and they even memorised our names which made us feel even more welcome. I will be recommending this resort to anyone who visits Bohol!

Fox & Firefly Cottages is an amazing place. Everything is so beautiful and natural and the service is more than 5*. The restaurant is also perfect, one of the best that I visited (food, coctails, service). I would like to thank you for the whole staff their kindness, caring and helpful attitude, especially for Gidy and Steff from the restaurant and for Sandra and Fernie from the front desk.
