We stayed in the General Luna area and was a bit surprised to see how much trash and dirty areas were in the area. We were told to visit Cloud 9 and its nice for surfing, but dirty area, dirty restaurants, and very dirty streets. We stayed for 4 days and 4 nights. It was enough if you just want to explore the nearby spots, and go island hopping. But if you plan to really do a good long staycation, 4 days is not enough. There is still a lot we were not able to do. We both love the vibe of General Luna and Siargao as a whole. Well first impressions is the town is very spread out and hot so riding a motorbike/scooter is essential to really enjoy this place. It has a very fun vibrant night life with hundreds of young travellers, great food options, live music everywhere. But frequent, island-wide power outages bring the place to a standstill, and no one in power seems very interested in fixing the situation. The location is perfect - just outside the bustling General Luna, very peaceful and relaxing. The resort is very new & modern & the rooms are so spacious (probably one of the biggest rooms we have stayed in & we have stayed in a lot of hotels).
