The property was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The receptionist (Jose) was exceptional - he was very kind, greeted us warmly every day and offered us great recommendations during our stay. Location perfect. Overall, Our stay at Hotel Los Tambos Boutique was fantastic, so much so that we didn’t look elsewhere for accommodation when booking accommodation on our return to Arequipa.

It was great, The staff was nice enough, even to return my coat I had forgotten in the hotel, also few days after I had some issues at the post office, and the agent refuse to give the me the package as I had no ID from Peru, and (God knows what was the problem of a foreigner receive a package, however it had to be with a Passport number pre registered on it, and no one knew, and the staff in Arequipa did not informed her, ) anyway, The lady I called on the hotel was nice enough to speak with them and sort out with Arequipa post office and I was able to retrieve my package in Lima's office.

our best stay in Peru, I would definitely come back to this hotel again and enjoy the stay more. we were only 1 night. beautiful design rooms, tea and kettle equipment in the room extra Tap with drinking water in the bathroom. big comfortable bed. but Top was our arrival. we arrived at 9.30 and were leaving early the next day for a trip the receptionist offered us to use our breakfast that day. a wonderful restaurant on the roof with a view, a luxurious breakfast and a wonderful start to the day. really small thing but great effect. Thank you very much that we enjoyed our stay with you so much and we will continue to recommend your hotel. definitely corresponds to 4*

    The views from Arequipa (AQP) of the snow-capped mountains (volvanoes) is spectacular. The city has a very different feel to Cusco - unlike Cusco, AQP was not an Inca settlement. People are very friendly and the culture and outlook are different to rest of Peru. Our guide joked that people from AQP often consider themselves to be from a different country. Thrilled to see that AQP offers tasty vegan and vegetarian options.

    Arequipa was a fun place to visit.

    Arequipa was a fun place to visit. The sunsets were incredible. It was an easy place to walk around. Don't miss Alpaca Mundo. There's an area of Alpaca World that shows sheared Alpaca fleece, someone weaving the fleece and a history of how the Alpaca clothing, sold to the public, originated in Peru. There's a fantastic shop for all your Alpaca clothing needs. Best of all, about 8 or so Alpacas live there. You can pet and feed them! And it's free!

    Loved the vibe!

    Loved the vibe! Great city with lots of cultural and archaeological/ historical sites on offer (the nun-s cloister is a must), if you walk around a bit, there is a diversity of perspectives, and it is close to incredible nature reserves. Great food on offer too. Absolutely loved Arequipa.

    Arequipa is a great option for walking and eating around.beautiful convents and churches. Many delicious spots, hard to choose but my favourite for brunch was Oso and for dinner 13 monjas. Arequipas historical center is very special and safe. the weather is perfect, sunny and a little more chilly at night. The altitude might give you a minor headache but that is about it. It's not as intense as cusco tourism wise, but if you have some days in Peru and want a chill escape Arequipa is the place! also, waaaay cheaper eating in Arequipa than in lima! Also the best place to buy baby alpaca

    Beautiful main square and lots of lovely little restaurants tucked away. Great trips from here- Sillah, Los Salinas and Colca Canyon. Second two in particular not to be missed. Fika is great nearby place for small meals, ice cream etc. lovely atmosphere and they provide cards, Uni, jigsaws, drawing materials for you to use. Fabulous little place.

    Arequipa is a great destination - clean, historical, lots of good food and textiles. We enjoyed it greatly, for the second time. We can recommend Zig Zag, Kao and Masamama restaurants. A few cautions - beware the restaurants on the balcony on main square - our meal was cold, full of fat and overpriced. Two of the heritage homes were closed when advertised as open. Biggest disappointment - Juanita has been removed and replaced by a replica, so I declined to do this tour again - being in the presence of an artificial 'mummy' would be nothing like the moving experience I had formerly with the real 500-year-old girl.

    The location of the hotel is in the middle of the city center of Arequipa - its close to everything. The staff was very helpful with booking activities for us and for preparing breakfast for us the days we were leaving before the breakfast had started. The room was spacious and clean, and we could not hear any noise from the street. The breakfast was very good! And the restaurant at the roof top was also very good, so we ate there every evening. Also a good spot for watching the sunset

    The guy at the reception has been incredibly gentle and helpful. First budget hotel in our peruan experience that EVERY DAY asked us if we wanted our room cleaned/refreshed. Same with towels, we’ve been asked if we wanted clean one EVERY DAY! Good position to reach the city centre within a 10minutes walk. Safe area on the evening too. Good Wi-Fi!! Would definitely recommend!!

    We arrived in Arequipa around 6:00 AM, and the staff kindly allowed us to have breakfast. The hotel isn’t the most budget-friendly in Arequipa, but the room was very clean, and the bed was the best of our entire trip to Peru—super large and comfortable. Highly recommended for couples looking to spend a short stay in Arequipa and rest after long city travels.

    Located in a quiet street, big hotel with nice rooms. Bed was super confortable, the bathroom was the best I had in Peru : detachable showerhead, hot water and a bathmat (rare in Peru). Breakfast is great, lots of fruit. And the sunny courtyard is nice in the morning.

    We really enjoyed our stay, the room and the staff. Breakfast was good, however for the roomrate the breakfast menu should be overlooked with more options to choose from. Second coffee should not be charged, however it was the best hotel during our Peru trip.
