If you love the great outdoors you will love it here! Such a laid-back and relaxing camp to be in. It’s small; not too many tents and not many lights and is so quiet. Said is a friendly, warm and helpful host. Nothing is too much trouble for him! He comes from a family of Bedouins and still lives in the desert himself so you know you are getting an authentic experience. The food was delicious, the beds were comfortable and transport to and from the meeting point was FREE, which is awesome because we didn’t have a 4x4 to get there. We really loved our stay at SandGlass Camp.

Set in Al Qābil, SAMA Al Areesh Desert Camp provides accommodation with seating area. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available.

The dinner was delicios. It is near to the Road, but is it ok. Everything was perfect!

Sand Delight Camp is located in the desert of Waheba Sands in Oman. It is surrounded by sand dunes. Free tea and coffee is provided throughout the day.

They were very guest friendly, they gave us amazing tips and the desert activities available at the camp were comparatively more affordable. The camp tents were comfortable and it gives somewhat of an authentic desert experience. Thus, all together we had a great stay and the perfect desert experience. Kais was also very approachable and was trying to make our stay in the desert unforgettable. He planned with us our further trip and connected us with the right people.

Bidiyah Domes is located in Bidiyah. The hotel has a terrace and a hot tub.

This place is so beautiful. The garden created such relaxing atmosphere. The playground was the highlight for our kids. The bed was comfortable and we got an additional mattress too. The staff was really helpful. There was quite a space in the back yard to hang our laundry. We drove to the nearby sand dune in the evening. The view was fantastic and there was enough sand for the kids.

Excellent location, on the top of a dune in the middle of the desert. Fantastic 360 degree view. 15 rooms, outside pool very nice, very good half board plan. Rooms are excellent equipped, with terrace overlooking the desert (the fact that you do not have TV it is rather an advantage). WiFi works very well. The manager (Mr Gautam Balram) is very friendly and helpful. From the activities, we would recommend "night safari and star watching" (ask for Faisal as your guide). Difficult to get there with your own car (do not attempt if you do not have a real 4 motion car and you are not an experienced driver). Aim for the sister camp (Arabian Oryx Camp), and ask the reception there to guide you for the last km, since google maps are not accurate. Parking is free. We would recommend to spend at least two nights there. One night it is not enough.

Situated in Al Wāşil in the Al Sharqiyah region, Authentic Desert Camp - Al Wasil has a balcony. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking.

Nice small scale camp in the desert, only 6 tents. Very nice staff providing good service and friendly host. It is very magical to walk up the dunes and look at the sunset or sunrise. We enjoyed it very much, thank you! It might be good to know that pick up can be arranged for an extra charge from a meetingpoint (we were glad we did this as there are no signs to the camp). Also the dinner is not included in the price, however the food was very nice, so recommended!

Even with only a one night stay at Alsarmadi Desert Camp, we were able to get the full experience of activities and sleeping in the desert. The hosts and staff are really friendly and are doing a great job providing an excellent atmosphere at camp. The facilities are really nice and the food they prepare is delicious. I can highly recommend this place and will definitely return when visiting Oman again.
