New ZealandFrom go to woh this place was awesome! John was super accommodating and helpful. It had everything we needed. Nice and warm - heat pump was good. Beds were comfy and toasty warm. Hot tub was brilliant and super easy to operate.
It whole place has a real retro feel to it so very nostalgic! Was a bit like walking into our grandparents place 30-40 years ago - so awesome :). I will definately be bringing my wee family back for a weekend stay :). Thank you soo much John!

Often overlooked as a passing point to more exotic destination, this little stop over town has a few worthy attractions; the Clay Cliffs, the Ahuriri River, the Hot tub and the Glider rides etc. It is also near Twizel and Lake Ohau too.Guest review byJeremyAustralia - 10.0

There are two places to eat in the village.
There are two places to eat in the village. A hotel which caters for tour parties. The bufet looked average. The ala carte menue, which looks interesting is not available every night (barman said). It was available when I was there, but the staff seamed very reluctant to offer it. The steak was limp (looked like it had been cooked in a sous vide, but not flash fried at a high enough temperature) and everything was way, way over salted!!! I was Would not recomend it. A pleasant, quiet place to get away from the 'madding crowd'...
A pleasant, quiet place to get away from the 'madding crowd'! I love the scenery and climate there and the locals we met were friendly and helpful. I recommend The Pink Glider for a meal as well as the kebab truck on the highway. Both have super staff and good food.
