The views from the room were amazing! We were living in the tree tops! The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a great shower room. The kitchen area was well-equipped and we were able to make our breakfast at our leisure and to sit looking at another amazing view. We had a wonderful stay with Richard and are already booked to return.

We are absolutely thrilled to have discovered a genuine Canadian-style Lodge here in New Zealand! The owners' idea of sharing the history of Yellowstone National Park in the United States with guests was absolutely delightful. The enthusiasm and hospitality of the owners, ready to welcome both international and national guests with such an fascinating concept, truly touched our hearts. The tranquility and beauty of the place are incredible, just like the hosts, Nick and Julie, who took the time to make us feel like we were among friends at home. The cleanliness and design of the spaces are unmatched! The breathtaking views and the vast spaces at your disposal are a real treat for the eyes. The Lodge is located within a private park, with easy walks for everyone to enjoy. The fresh air and the relaxation in front of a real Canadian fireplace complete the day perfectly. The quality/price ratio is truly lower than what the property and the owners themselves offer. This last minute get away was one of our best short trips...

This last minute get away was one of our best short trips yet. We stayed at the Avalon Resort, which is one of my favourite places we have ever stayed. I could have stayed for much longer. It just has the best vibe. down to the amazing host, Location and the rooms are just beautiful, (all have your own private decks) check in simple & easy. Makes you feel at home. We also enjoyed the Horse Trek at the DriftWood Seaside Escapes the next morning, about 40 minutes from the town centre. Milli is just amazing catered to my 2 young children and made us all feel so comfortable. the location of the Trek is just an amazing bonus. also the friendly dogs who come along for the Trek. The views are breath taking and Milli and her team are just the best! Our little stay in KeriKeri has to be the best short trips we have taken for a long time. we can't wait to come back. if your looking for a affordable Resort Bali vibe stay with your children or some alone time this is absolutely the place to stay. If you want to do something a little different check out Driftwood Seaside escapes and go see Milli for an exciting Horse Trek Through the Forest, down to the beach and through beautiful bush.

We decided to stay seven nights in Kerikeri and use this as our base to explore further North and East. This was the smart thing to do, because being at the tail end of Winter entering Spring, the weather fluctuates a lot. We timed being able to visit places when the weather was fine, and the bonus was there were hardly any tourists. Avalon Resort was a lovely place to stay, to simply relax and enjoy reading a good book on the rainy days!

Great host, cottage was spacious and great price. Beds were big and comfy. Kids were able to swim in pool and spa was hot. Just a walk away to town center. Theres a movie theater. We always stay here when we come to Kerikeri.

Genuinely friendly, personal and warm welcome and farewell without being intrusive....outstanding customer service! Extremely spacious unit. Comfortably furnished meaning being able to relax and unwind was easy. Very well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean. Lovely that the heat pump and lights were on with curtains drawn ahead of our early evening arrival on a cold night. Quiet and private location. Throughly recommend staying here. I travel to Kerikeri several times a year for work and going forward this will be my go to accommodation.
