Nicky was the loveliest host. She was warm, caring and friendly. I had a platter arranged for dinner during my stay and it was very generous and tasty. Breakfast was similarly generous and set me up for the day ahead. I didn't need to have lunch! The bed and linen made me feel like I was sleeping in a cloud. The unit was very clean, and it was nice to sit outside and look at the pond, listening to the ducks and the doves cooing. The views between Christchurch and Ashburton are spectacular. I would highly recommend Revive on Oakview for an overnight stay. It was peaceful and quiet, but Nicky was always there when I needed her.

House was perfect for our family of 5 (3 teenage girls) and had everything we needed. I was worried about the cold coming from Perth but the bedding was super cosy and warm and the house warmed quickly with the split AC/heater. We loved our stay in Ashburton - Weka Retreat and would stay here again in a heartbeat. A large historic property that has been well converted with all modern facilities. It stands in its own grounds approached via a long gravel driveway. The couple that own it were perfect hosts - there to help but not intrusive. They did offer to show us their farm an offer we were keen to accept and thoroughly enjoyed. They supplied a very large basket of breakfast/lunch type foods of exceptional quality. As we were only staying two days we were unable to use it all. It included fresh milk, muesli cereal, bread, home made cookies, butter, fresh orange juice, custom chocolate bar, crisps etc.
