The staff were amazing, the rooms were lovely and great value with plenty of parking and a great view from our second floor balcony. We had a visiting kitty who popped up for a pat and to give us some company on our second night so as cat folk, she obviously found her peeps! 🤣 I would certainly recommend Cromwell as a place to stay with the wineries close by and the heritage precinct as a highlight. This motel is central to them all with a bar and restaurant and exceptional hospitality from all the staff

The room was very clean and everything was brand new. The bathroom was especially nice and the bed was super comfortable. We loved everything to the point that we decided to extend our stay. As a plus if you are a dog lover be sure to pet whiskey on your check in (and check out) ;)

Great place, everything brand new, very clean, well thought out. Perfectly equipped kitchen, both with cooking elements and spices, oil, sauces, etc. A beautiful view from the terrace, on a green, well-kept lawn and mountains. HIghly recommended to everyone!

The staff are so friendly and helpful. We've lately been staying places where check-in/check-out are done via messages and door codes, and it was so lovely to speak with local people who could greet you, help you find activities, and recommend places to eat. So refreshing.

    we go up there a lot through the year to visit friends.

    we go up there a lot through the year to visit friends. heaps to do in the summer and winter is a little less but if you time it right you can see and do amazing things. like we where there for the Light up Winter festival and it was amazing. fully recommend. it's the epicenter of central Otago.

    Wonderful stay in Cromwell. Weather was gorgeous.

    Wonderful stay in Cromwell. Weather was gorgeous. We did the Lake Dunstan E-bike ride which was stunning. Wine tasting at Mt Difficulty. I would recommend you make reservations in the restaurants - everywhere was very busy and we couldn't get in unless we had reserved a table.

    It is a quiet country town with friendly people. Our motel (Cromwell Hotel) wasn’t much good as we got the dumpy cottage. We had a nice pizza at a pizza place at the Mall shopping center and a yummy egg & bacon bap at Afix cafe at the same Sh. Centre. Picked up some lovely fruit at stalls on road out to Queenstown (just out of Cromwell)

    It was one of the cleanest, well kept holiday homes I’ve ever stayed in. Linens and bed’s were comfortable. Well equipped with extra linens, kitchen supplies and sporting goods. Spacious property in a quiet location, walking distance to the water. I would highly recommend this property for your next holiday! John and Helen are the owners and lovely to deal with.
