A large historic property that has been well converted with all modern facilities. It stands in its own grounds approached via a long gravel driveway. The couple that own it were perfect hosts - there to help but not intrusive. They did offer to show us their farm an offer we were keen to accept and thoroughly enjoyed. They supplied a very large basket of breakfast/lunch type foods of exceptional quality. As we were only staying two days we were unable to use it all. It included fresh milk, muesli cereal, bread, home made cookies, butter, fresh orange juice, custom chocolate bar, crisps etc.

Beautifully presented. Several luxury bathroom items generously supplied. The lovely shared sitting/kitchen/dining space on each floor was fabulous. Delighted to find samples of Barkers products to use. Glasses of port in the sitting room a most pleasant surprise.

Hands down - from a guy who slept at more than 1000 different hotels. This is the best one. Ever. Sally and the staff there made an unbelievable effort to make this a fantastic stay. All the details were right: from providing a late check in to everything detail in the room - towels folded in a nice way, clean room, unique flair, great kitchen and such friendly staff - we would come back anytime. Loved it.
