One of the nicest hostels I have stayed. Super friendly staff. Amazing ammenities with huge social and chilling areas of many kinds, yoga space, fully equiped kitchen, games and easy to meet people. The rooms are super spacious and confortable with great bathrooms. The location is great for airport and buses. Nice restaurant down stairs. Modern and clean.

Loved absolutely everything, from the well thought out design to the comfortable bed. The view from the bathtubs and even the ability to Bluetooth your own music through the room. The staff were extremely helpful from the moment I made the booking. Even organised a platter to be brought down to us to enjoy with our complimentary bottle of wine.

We enjoyed the continental breakfast in a beautiful room .We liked the feeling of "home" because you can have some fruit and some coffee or tea any time you like.I enjoyed the jigsaw puzzle on the table and the fireplace in the lounge for a rainy day!And we foundthat Lucas and Florencia were very nice and efficient hosts!

Warmest welcome we’ve received on our honeymoon. Great facilities and beautiful property. Mark the concierge is a wonderful asset and I didn’t catch the name of the girl checking us in but she was amazing and gave us a complimentary upgrade as well as recommendations for the evening.

Stunning Natural Beauty at Your Doorstep

Dusting itself off from a series of recent earthquakes is the seriously stunning New Zealand city of Christchurch. While its old English buildings like ChristChurch Cathedral are being rebuilt, the magnificent Botanic Gardens and Hagley Park sustain its reputation as the Garden City.

Located along the Avon River, NZ’s 2nd-largest city has Victoria Square at its centre. Surrounding highlights include the Canterbury Museum and the Gothic-style Arts Centre. Sumner Beach is a favourite location for locals when the sun shines.

Out towards the spectacular harbour town of Lyttelton is the Christchurch Gondola ride where you can enjoy a sweeping view of the city.

The South Island’s capital is a good starting-off point for extreme sports such as bungee jumping and white-water rafting. The majestic Southern Alps surround the city and offer world-class ski resorts such as Methven, at the foot of Mt. Hutt.

    Vietnamese Restaurant was excellent and not expensive. Thai Orchid had lovely live music on Sunday evening and wonderful atmosphere and music. Many restaurants close by. Hagley Park was within walking distance and had an amazing light show, Illuminate.

    Good location - room was large and well presented.

    Good location - room was large and well presented. Very powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Staff were friendly and helpful. One negative - the TV did not function properly - it changed channels of its own accord.

    This is our favourite place to stay and have been staying...

    This is our favourite place to stay and have been staying here since 2004 . All staff are wonderful and welcoming. Food in the Den Bar and the restaurant fabulous and it’s good to have the choice as we have family that come into see us as we live out of Christchurch. Will be back in December. Merivale Mall is always worth a visit. Sumner and New Brighton are great sea experiences.

    My old home town so maybe a bit 1 eyed. Best hairdresser ever in Papanui I travel many, many kms to get my hair cut their. It's a cutting bar, no need for appointments and very, very realistic prices start at $20 It's just back before the Northland mall probably 3 blocks back towards the city. there's a need wee vegie shop and a great bike shop in the wee shops that are there. George and his lovely offsider have been through the mill with the quakes.

    A city being redesigned and rebuilt. Somewhat ‘empty’ but not deserted. A fresh and positive feel. The adorable Avon River runs through town…… worth exploring all the way to the coast on cycles. Heaps of parks, many with features suitable for kids. Earthquake Museum was fascinating……. my 14 & 12 year old boys were mesmerised. No earthquakes back in Sydney. Good food all over the city. We caught public buses(route 29) from airport and return. Recommended!! Great city!

    It was in winter and the traffic was pretty light - no problem getting around. Museums and art galleries as you would expect in a city - Pretty good. Great views of the city from the top floor of the library. Plenty of good eating out options.

    We had a fantastic experience at Sudima Hotel Christchurch Airport! I was traveling with my wife and our 4-year-old son, and although we arrived very late, the check-in process was seamless. The staff went the extra mile by gifting my little boy a teddy bear, which made him incredibly happy and helped him sleep soundly that night. The room and facilities were excellent, and the convenient car park made things even easier for us. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received.

    The history of the place was interesting and brought personality to the stay. The code worked well and you could move around the place very independently. It was easy to get to the destination by bus from the airport (bus 3 to Christchurch Hospital and from there bus 7 stops almost in front of the door). The hostel also has many different places to sit and work in peace. A small yard is nice! There is also quite cheap and good take away food places near by. I would definately stay again :)

    The location was good as it's located in Central Christchurch. It's right opposite a supermarket (FreshChoice) and within walking distance to F&Bs (eg. Riverside Market, Little High). It's a 15 - 20 minute drive from the airport. The rooms matched the listing pictures and descriptions, the staffs were also really friendly and helpful. They use an app as your hotel room keys, so you'll have to download it prior to save time.

    Despite being close to the airport it was very quiet. We arrived in Christchurch at 1am and the hotel shuttle arrived promptly after we requested it. The drivers from the airport and to return the next day were very polite and friendly. We are staying there again on our return to Christchurch.
