First of all it's the perfect place to relax after coming back from trekking or before going to trek. It's so close to the lake with a great view, but still quiet and peaceful.     Pokhara is a beautiful city with tourist attractions. It was a difficult road journey in a Luxury Coach journey from Kathamandu which took 11 hours to travel 200km due to extremely poor road conditions and traffic jams. Nepal Government must improve the infrastructure and to have reliable airlines with good safety records to attract more tourists to help its economy as well.

    A Refreshing Stop in Pokhara – Great Weather & Scenery We visited Pokhara before and after our hiking trip to Mardi Himal Base Camp. It's a beautiful, peaceful city with pleasant weather and stunning natural surroundings. We explored the lake area and nearby spots – truly relaxing. The airport was very clean and convenient, making travel smooth. A perfect stopover for trekkers and nature lovers!

    Few places are good but in summer never recommend to anyone for Pokhra . Perfect season for travelling is before March & after October. Temperature in June is around 35-38 degrees which is not good for travelling.

    Pokhara was nice and touristy, it had a lot of shops and restaurants and everything was a walking distance in the lakeside area. For souvenirs and purchases, it is considered a bit more expensive than Kathmandu. I loved the city, except for its bad weather that really affected my lungs (a lot of pollution/haze/ fire smoke) which affected my health a little.

    Pokhara is a beautiful place and though it is a stop for many trekkers who are going for different treks, the city has alot to offer. The Phewa lake boat ride, the Basundhara park, the Gurkha memorial museum and the marketplace are some fun things to do when in Pokhara. I highly recommend exploring the lakeside and consider the city more than just a pit-stop for the different treks.

    We stayed at Hotel Middle Path & Spa before as well as after our trekking tour in Nepal. The hotel is conveniently located in Pokhara’s lakeside district in a side street off the main road in walking distance to the lake. Many cafés and restaurant options in the immediate vicinity as well as an on-site restaurant. We particularly enjoyed the lush garden area by the pool. The spa offering was a plus upon our return from trekking. Pre-booking of a spa appointment via booking.com chat went smoothly. Friendly and caring hotel staff.

    Fantastic location with unimpeded Lake views. A big bonus is that the hotel has a lift - unlike many other Nepali hotels that only have stair access. I had a king room (with a view) which was large and very comfortable - top floor for rooms which I greatly recommend. Air conditioning was very effective. Hotel is located in an easy to access area of Pokhara with lots of nearby restaurants and shops. This hotel was only opened about 6 months ago and still is very clean and new. It was good value for money.

    My room was very spacious and clean. The shower was probably the best I've ever had! - so much water pressure and very hot (and easy to quickly switch between hot, warm and cold). The hotel itself is picturesque and was very tranquil, yet right in the centre of Pokhara Lakeside (the area where most tourists stay). The staff were very friendly. All in all, I would definitely recommend Butterfly Lodge. Good value for money too.
