We stayed for 2 nights at this location and it felt like home. As a family with two kids 4&7 we truly enjoyed it. It’s simple, you can accommodate yourself with the provided kitchen or get full support with food as breakfast and dinner. We opted for the last option and surely it was good. Home made food made with a lot of love. When you pay for dinner you can eat as you would eat at home. As go for a second plate? Of course, that is included in the price. We woke up every morning with the beautiful view and sound of the river in front of the Lodge. Our room was simple but clean and well arranged. The common areas were cleaned everyday properly. They have 3 dogs in the common area and it was spotless. Which is I think impressive. The road to the Lodge was super scenic (small but enough space for 2 cars to move around) so enjoy the travel! What was the best was the friendliness of the people who run it. To be honest I have never got so quick and personal responses via the chat via booking.con APP and even face to face they were helpful. A recommendation is to ‘hike’ to the local train station to catch the Flåm train. We did the ‘hike’ with the kids and even for the 4 year old it was doable. How fun is to stand at a train station where it is so local that you have to wave otherwise they don’t stop? We loved it! So in general this location was for us the highlight of our travel in Norway.

At the head of the famous Flåm Railway in Myrdal, this hotel is only accessible by train and sits high above Aurlandsfjord.

A cosy accommodation on a unique isolated location! A very cosy place with stylish interior from the past. The room was simple, but as expected. We had delicious breakfast and a very fine dinner buffet on Independence Day May 17th. Very friendly staff. The location is only accessible by train, but that makes it even more unique. We walked 1,5 km down from Myrdal train station and that was very do-able. The Flåmbanen train stop is also right in front of the hotel. The nature is beautiful out there. The lake was still frozen and covered by snow in mid May. -3 in the morning. The Rallarvegen bike/hike path and zip line are at 100m.

Very large and spacious room, huge bathroom, Free parking right next to the hotel, we paid for dinner - a buffet - the best meal we ever ate, a choice of many types of meat, the chef himself cut the meat for you, the best roasted vegetables I've ever eaten - this was the best idea! We made a 10 days tour in Norway and this hotel was the best. Big, clean and modern room, with an outstanding view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The dinner was excellent. The area is quite, peaceful and very beautiful. I definitely recommend this hotel and can't wait to return here.

the resort owner Elisabeth is so kind and helpfull that even 100 points wouldn't be enough to evaluate her kindness and helpfullness.you can reach her to ask something and she answers so quickly.the appartment itself is georgeus,so cosy and comfy.evertyhing you need and more is avaliable.coffee machine saved our days.the balcony with seating area has a georgeus view.the location is very convenient. 30 min to Flåm.there are 5 cahrging stations for electric cars which literally saved our journey.there's a washing machine and a dryer in the basement and it's easy to use.don't forget to follow the instructions and celan up the dryer.a dishwasher is also avaliable in the kitchen.you have everything you need to cook your own meal.the bed and pilows are very comfy.if we visit this area again we will definitely stay here again.so quiet and peacefull neighborhood.Thank you again Elisabeth.we highly recommend this place!

The house was absolutely beautiful and very well furbished. The outside area by the river was lovely (although the weather was too chilly to fully make use of it). The beds were comfy and everything was very clean. We were 4 people and had plenty of space. Contact with the hosts was very friendly and simple. I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in the Voss area.

Matches the description and photos. Not huge, but spacious enough for our family of 6, and the kitchen is sufficient for preparing family meals. The views are, of course, great, and the area is quiet. There is a second one being built further along the hill, which isn't close enough to be intrusive, but will reduce the isolation a bit. A short drive to town, where there is a reasonable-sized grocery store, as well as a really nice glass artisan (who arranges glass blowing sessions, and is very nice). I don't think I would recommend the house for anyone not using a car, unless you are really comfortable with uphill walks, because it would be 30 minutes uphill from the town (going back and forth, not straight up). Overall, if you're looking at the listing and thinking it seems like a good option, then we'd certainly recommend it, as it is just as described, and was a really nice and memorable stay.
