The views, cleanliness, beautiful terrace, beautiful tableware and very kind hosts that have put an extra effort to make their guests feel very welcome. Island is very close to Ålesund, with beautiful white sand beaches 3 min drive away where you can rent kite surfing equipment and other things. There are 2 showers, many bedrooms, a grill and bikes available for disposal 😊 We wish we could stay longer!

The hotel occupies one of the most beautiful Art Noveaus buildings in Ålesund and is very well maintained. The staff is very kind, helpful, and smiley. The room was spacious, beautiful, and really comfy (loved the bed and pillows,great shower). Breakfast had a good variety of options and is served in a pleasant space. We had dinner at the restaurant one night, and the food was delicious and had a fair price (considering Norway prices). The location is the best in Ålesund, located in the most beautiful street of the town, in my opinion. A great experience for those who are interested in architecture.

Amazing location, peaceful and quiet. Nice kitchen, clean and well equipped. The host is a very nice lady who picked me up from the bus stop and offered a lift to the airport upon my departure. She was gave me great tips for stunning walks. Shame, I stayed only a night/day as a closure of my amazing ski touring holiday in Norway.

Our stay at Thon Alesund was exceptional. The selection offered for breakfast was by far the best we have ever had. Our room was a good size with an awesome view, bed was comfy l and as well as complimentary coffee in the lobby we even had a Nespresso pod machine for our personal use. I have nothing but praise for the staff & cannot recommend the hotel highly enough....I just wish more cities had a Thon hotel

Nice hotel in a beautiful city of Alesund. Perfect location. Everything is within walking distance - bus terminal, harbour, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Nearby the hotel, there is a supermarket (Bunnpris), can buy fruits and breads. Stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Spacious room, clean and comfortable beds. Amazing daily buffet breakfast and plentiful. Front desk staff helpful and friendly. Fast service. Had a comfortable stay.

The "Parken" hotel might look a big like a klutz from the outside - but inside, it's very modern, airy, spacious and comfortable. The room had a wonderful view of the ocean - how much more can you ask for? The location is superb - centrally located as can be, anything within max. 10 minute walk. There's a parking garage under the hotel (with direct access to the lobby - very convenient with heavy suitcases!). Breakfast is plentiful, varied and very tasty - as always in Scandinavia. The staff was both professional and very friendly and approachable at the same time. All in all : this is really hard to top !
