I arrived at the hotel three hours before check-in. Not only did the hotel staff accommodate me with an early check-in, they also insured I had everything I needed to ensure I had a pleasant stay. The room is fantastic, incredibly clean and very spacious. The daily breakfast was exceptional. There is a nook where I could work comfortably when I needed to.

I really loved this hotel and will be adding it to my list of international favourites! Truly a boutique hotel, it has a warm and welcoming feel. The decor is understated and relaxing (which the Dutch do wonderfully well), and the quality of the finishes and furnishings is top. The location could not be better - just on the edge of busier areas, and right next to the canal with a view of a windmill and charming cobblestoned streets - making it both quiet and easily walkable to all the areas of Leiden you might want to visit. Plus all the staff were delightful, welcoming and super-helpful!
