Kuah is just about decent but i would prefer the Cenang Beach area . If you can't get a hotel there, Kuah should be your next choice. The Island is small so you can get around in under 30 minutes to any spot of the island.Guest review byR - 6.0

Kuah was nice, the locals were very friendly and we found some restaurants that served great food, however, our accommodation could have been better. There were things in the apartment that did not work and we had a booking for 5 adults but there were only two coffee cups, four chairs. Many things to do: Geoparks, mangrove river tour, wildlife, Maha Tower, beautiful beaches and sunsets, cable cars and sky bridge, island hopping on speed boats, as well as delicious Malay, international cuisine and seafoods. Overall my fav part of the Island, with plenty of places. Scarborough FIsh n Chips is a great place to visit on Wednesday Nights for a beer and live music, along with Jacks bar. Great city to see and explore.
Great city to see and explore. The whole Island of Langkawi can be driven around so if you like a build up city Kuah is ideal to stay in. Close to the port and many choices for a good meal and exploring a night market.Guest review byAntoinetteAustralia

It just 5 minutes riding from Pekan Kuah to here. Only the way up to A Rock Resort quite challenging if you are not familiar with high hills road. But, its ok. All of my friends enjoying it so much staying here. And for sure, if they are coming back to Langkawi, definitely A Rock Resort will be their choice. And also the staff is very friendly. No restaurants walking distance. Luckily there are Grab options, which are cheaper than the local taxis. I read the review on the good view but honestly it was not fantastic. Seaview and mountain view is only if you turn your head to the left or right. The place is run down, but many hotels in Langkawi are run down... Luckily we only stayed 1 night. Location is in the Kuah town, easy to access to everywhere, just a bit far from airport & Cenang. Carpark is provided and convenient. To Improve - There is sound of AC grill vibrating all the day, quite annoying. There are few spots on ceiling with water mark. Toilet floor is a bit slippery while wet, need to pay extra care.
