The food was the stand-out attraction for me; the variety, quality and availability was exceptional. You can go from breakfast on the side of the street for 7 MYR all the way to Michelin-star restaurants (can't speak for them though!), but everything has it's charm. The weather was very favourable and everyone was welcoming. It is a popular tourist destination, so if you're looking to get away from other tourists I wouldn't recommend it, but there's plenty to see and do.Guest review byTobyKenya - 10.0

I loved the town: the history, variety of wonderful foods and cultural experiences, shopping. For us as Australians, prices were very reasonable. Travel around town by Grab (=Uber) is highly recommended as it is cheap, reliable and comfortable - just download the app. Saves energy and strength in the heat. We loved the pop-up street food stalls and also some of the established cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend Lebuh Kimberley in the evening for street food, Lada (Western-Asian fusion), Laksalicious, D'sakra (Indian), Black Kettle (Australian/Western), Urban Daybreak Cafe (very Melbourne). Visit Penang Hill once or twice - lots to see and do. The Upside Down Museum and Wonderfood Museum are fun and interesting.
